You create beautiful things. I‘m fairly new to your channel and you might have mentioned that already in a previous Video, but could you tell me what kind of loom you use? Thank you.

You got some great yarns! The first 2 skeins, the dark red with cashmere ones, are one reason I love weaving -- it wouldn't be enough to knit a full scarf with but it might be enough to weave one, and definitely to be the warp or the weft in one. You have reason to be angry and I agree we all need to speak out when we see things like this happen, but please be careful. Times are very dangerous right now. And protect your health. Penelope is right!

Yeah nah, your energy was at blasting out the screen levels - quite rightly!👍 Good work to you all. TY for explaining where ‘Asperger’s’ came from as a term. Also ‘Yahtzee’, I was thinking the haul must have been outstanding 🫣. That was a good haul you got. I opshop (thrifting in Australia, opshop = opportunity shop) for yarn as recreation & when those hauls come through - 🎉🌈🚀🥳. Some of my latest purchases have gone into my first weaving projects, inspired by your use of acrylic & some of those are going into our local agricultural show ( smaller version of your state fairs I think). Good luck with MRMAC.

I'll say the thing I alway say to my dear anxious partner. I respect that your feelings are real, but the thing you are worrying about is not real life. Take a breath, think about something you can see, hear, feel, smell, and taste. Take another breath.

Good! For! You! You absolutely did the right thing, Took, and I am glad you did. I am now also aware of the history behind my original diagnosis, which I will be refusing to use from now on, which. 😒 Yeah. That's gonna be fun to explain to my gran the history behind why I'm not using that particular terminology anymore, but she'll get it, eventually. In other news that will be kinda amusing... my ginger fur child has been a ginger fur child and somehow got himself smushed into mud this week. 😹He was most displeased on discovering that I was not, in fact, going to let him clean the mud out of his fur himself (not only would it have taken him ages, there was a good chance he'd have gotten a funny tummy from it, which I wasn't risking). I got 'I don't like carriers *or* baths!' level howling from him that day. 😹😹😹 Also! I'm hoping to be able to send the yarn in the next week or so! I might be planning to slip one last skein into the box which I think you will veeery much like. 😉 It is preeeetty. =^.^= I cracked the black dye with this one. =^.^=

If your artist's collective can get a tax exempt status, you should! Think of all the terrible abusive basement churches or horrible manipulative mega churches that don't have to pay taxes. I can't wait to see what you make with all this fabulous yarn!

Good on you both! Deep breath. Edmund Burke's statement “When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle” is true every day. Thankyou.

What a yarn haul! I absolutely loved that first yarn you showed. (Was it burgundy?) That fiber combination I’m sure makes some deliciously soft yarn! Also, I’m right behind you for speaking up today. On top of such a ‘warped’, crazy week.

Think of how narcissists and scam artists work... If you were one of them, you'd be seeking something from your followers. You have not asked us for anything, which is how we know you aren't lying. Your fellow spoonies and adult children of toxic parents relate with you sooo hard, and have found someone we wouldn't mind being friends with

Am I correct that your loom is not secured to the table while warping? How does it not slide to the left? I have no physical reason to adopt your method except that my back sometimes doesn’t like it so much. Ok, that is a reason! My desk would work perfectly, except that the free end for the clamp is to my right. I even have three of those expandable racks. When folded up they're 9", 12", and 16.5" from end. How long is yours? You spoke of hands...do you realize how graceful yours are while going through the various steps?

I'm looking forward to a couple of things! First up, your face when you get the yarn I plan on sending you (the minimum quote I got is £42!!! Can't say I'm surprised, though, there's about 3 kilos of it. 😹), and visiting a Shropshire based carpenter who's agreed to work with me on making drop spindles I can sell through my business! That's going to be a fun trip, as he's about an hour away and I can't drive. XD but I'm looking forward to it! =^.^=

Have you tried to double the width or double heddle to make two at a time? I want to learn but has not found a good video, so far I'm trying two at a time one right next to another hopefully the scarves will turn out...we still like yours..how wide are wraps supposed to be? Thanks I love the bags and hope to get something I'll have to measure my tablet
@HawksongWeaving2 күн бұрын
I haven't done that yet, but it's on my list of things to try! I usually make my wraps 3 panels wide, with my panels ranging from 8 to 10 inches wide. I've found that 7 feet is a good length for wraps.
@samanthanicholson90152 күн бұрын
@@HawksongWeaving so 7 by 30 or 24? That be cool, I haven't seen your wraps but I have the blanket, that was nice to see made like that. Is there a way to share photos with you?

I needed this so much tonight. It's been a horrible day for all of us here. I spent the day trying to spread the word of things we can do to fight what's happening, and it was exhausting. So I get my peaceful time with watching you weave a lovely scarf and the perfect music. I hope you use this music again or something like it. I'm looking forward to taking walks again now that the freezing weather is over.

Tamar, take care of yourself too! I know there's the urge to do it all right away, but resting is needed. Am I being a bit of a hypocrite? Yes. But you can't pour from an empty cup.

I grew up lower middle class with more than one generation of my family being hoarders, so keeping all the "useful" things comes naturally to me. I used to move a lot,and it's always been a pain to move because of how much stuff I have, and I always said before each move I needed to go through everything (but never found the time or energy to do so). This time I'm actually doing it in advance of my move, and it's partially because I need to separate my things out as well as purging things I haven't used in years

As a disabled intersex trans woman with a fascination for weaving who is herself an elder in our community, your channel, and this video, is quite the unexpected but much appreciated gem to suddenly happen upon! I'm really looking forward to watching more of your stuff! Beautiful shawl, and seeing you work on that tiny loom is mesmerizing! I've only seen jacquard handlooms and powerlooms before, I didn't even know your kind of loom exists! Also, completely agree about elder status and adultiness in our community and generation. Sending gratitude and endless love and respect from southern Colorado!

Goddess, I feel this. XD My mother manipulated the authorities into believing I was a pathological liar (her words, she even convinced herself it was true) for SEVEN. YEARS. I was only able to correct it after she left for New Zealand with my younger sisters and stepdad, leaving me behind to be taken in by my gran. I still have a thing about manipulators and liars and I tell everyone who has anything to do with childcare... if a child has a massive bruise on their leg from hip to knee, DON'T LET THE INEXPERIENCED DOCTOR ASSESS IT ALONE WITH THE PARENT PRESENT. You bet your ass that parent will manipulate the doctor into seeing what they want them to, and they'll do it while threatening the child into silence!

In my immediate community are two trans men and one trans woman, all in their 70’s, who have all completed their unique transitions longer than a decade ago (longer ago than I’ve known them. That’s the only gauge I have) All three have lived successful, productive lives and are absolute inspirations.
