Disappointing that there was more newish stuff at the museum. Didn't Mühle have a nice display there at one point?

Roman numeral dial..Its ridiculous to call a roman numeral dial, Buckley!!!! Its absurd!
@mikeraiche506321 күн бұрын
It's a Buckley dial not because it has roman numerals, but that the numerals are painted on, rather than metal numerals.

I don’t wear a watch to tell time - it’s just jewelry. I only wear mechanical watches like Graham, Tissot, and HMT.

I made the mistake of having a jeweler service my watch. It would gain time, it would lose time and it would stop sometimes. I would look at water and the watch would flòod.

Awesome. The Roman numerals make the face look more poping. Can't even find a clone of this.

The price paid was overpriced for what was conducted on the 2nd service. $750. I don't see the price there. There was not one chrono part replaced. All it was was the pushers and a clean and oil.
@francescobarbaro71149 ай бұрын
that's can be not excacly true: for what I know, Omega doesn't send the parts of the movement that have been changed back to the costumer. So, they may have replaced the mainspring and/or parts of the chronograph module as well... 🤷♂ (And they also refinished the bracelet)

I own this very cool time piece. Had it for 20 years, and traded 3 watches for it, and I’ll pass it down to my boys. Mine was made it 1967, but mine has the hidden clasp. I’ve loved it, and it keeps perfect time! Love it😃👍👍

it looks absolutely great until you see a cheap Chinese knock off dress watch for $5 with the same dial, it then kills it - lol

Same here, 1987 Buckley steel and t.o.graph from 2011 in gold and steel. My 1987 I bought new, still looks as new and keeps time 100%

Collecting since 1999 seriously I realized I’m pretty much done with mechanical watches. After having to have a few of my higher end watches get serviced like my tuna marine master 1000 that I had to send to Japan I was done. I’m looking for well built fun quartz watches. My god I wish I would have bought the bulova sea king years ago! A quartz sweeping hand with a case that screams testosterone! I’m enjoying this more than my bond Seamaster 🥺

Hi! I sent my Reduced also to Omega in Genève (well, Bienne) in June 2021 and they simply put a new movement in (the service card says: movement change) . Maybe you should have asked to change the bezel....(I'm sure you can find one on internet). Anyway I would have prefered them to really service it and change some crucial parts than to swap mvts.

Short answer : No. Long answer : Nooooooooo. MOVE ON, BLOKES. Mechanical watches died in 1969, and there is a thing called necrophilia 😂😂😂 Why admire an expensive mechanical watch with 240 hours power reserve (if that long) while my dirt cheap Casio has 87600 😂😂😂 Smartwatches are advanced, but their "power reserve" are still too short.

My deceased father-in-law was a watch maker and had a jewelry shop for many years. I was surprised how much time and effort went into servicing and repairing a watch especially vintage watches where finding parts could be difficult. Parts from the manufacturer (if they have them) can be very expensive plus the watchmaker needs to make a living too, and with complex movements being the fad, well you get the point.

I do like this dial. I purchased an Oysterquartz Datejust recently with this dial, albeit with gold numerals. It turns out to be a pretty rare combination, and I love the look of this dial with the Oysterquartz case.

I have a significant number of Seikos in my collection. ALL of them run far more accurate than their specifications would indicate. If accuracy specifications are your primary thing than I suggest high accuracy quartz. Those are cool in their own way too.
