My dash cam requires power on all the time so it records motion and contact in case I'm hit while parked. But its good to know that feature is available thanks.

What is your feeling on utilizing 4wd auto on a truck lifted 6"? Not something I do often living in GA but can it be problematic to the truck if used?

If you travel these won't have any range on AM or FM. If you don't leave town they will work good enough. They look great so as long as AM and FM in the boonies aren't your thing, grab one.

I have 2 trucks(2020 GMC 3500HD AT4, 2024 Silverado 1500 Trail Boss LT) with 4WD auto, and while it may be a great feature, I've always been of the opinion that by the time the truck computer recognizes the rear tires losing traction and engages the front axle it's already too late, and for that reason, I either leave my truck in 2WD for normal dry road driving, or engage 4WD for snow covered or inclement weather in cold conditions, I'll take the fuel economy hit rather than end up in the ditch...

Auto engages the front differential to the front prop shaft. This does cost more fuel. There are videos on this being tested. Depending on exact truck, 2-5mpg hit.

I live in Canada. I will warm up my 2012 Honda Civic as much as I want for my comfort. The old Hondas I have driven seem to not suffer from any problems from this. And yes I do realize that my car uses fuel as it is warming up.

I dont understand why u took the caliper off so u could put new rotor on without taking the old pads and hardware out as well. Why did u put the caliper back on a brand new rotor with the old pads still in it then decided to remove them. U have old pads touching new rotor and sre prying against new rotor to get old pads out. Why not just remove old pads while old rotor is still on? Doesnt make sense

Listen to your vehicle. Common sense tells you that you should let fluids heat up first. But, this is America and we just proved we lack any sense.

Basically turn it on and drive away asap keep the rpm under 3k and it will warm up on itself in the best way. If you want to go the extra mile (for the car) wait until RPM’s drop before you move. If the drive isn’t long enough to have the car running operating temperature for at least 15 minutes. Then you probably shouldn’t use a car for that destination. The engine is prone to premature failure if it doesn’t reach operating temperature on the daily commute. This is why young high mileage cars seem to run forever and old low mileage cars have a tendency to mysteriously breakdown more often. The engine is not the only part of the car that performs better when warm. People with DCT’s (specifically sport DCT’s) should give the transmission a chance to also warm up before asking it to do complex shifting. As it also uses oil inside the gears. Also when coming home give your car 40 seconds before you actually turn it off so oil keeps flowing through both the engine and the sutututu. For longevity of the engine minimize stationary running as much as possible. It’s like hell for the engine. You can’t avoid cold starts but you can avoid stationary running. Also: I would love to be corrected if I’m wrong. This is just information I’ve gathered over the years. Because the subject has always been interesting to me.

Never ever over fill your fuel system. At the pump when it clicks off stop. There’s a charcoal canister that the excess fuel will flow into and cause the charcoal to clump which will start throwing codes because it’s part of the evap system. Ask me how I know.
