You should go back to the field. If they plowed even deeper into the soil, they probably unearthed even more artifacts from the Paleo period.

Excellent video. Interesting the rotation. I bet I have 2-3 Mitchells in my garage. I thought you might mention something about Mitchells little brother the 308 ultra light.

A bit of a click bait video , to catch anglers . Tell me how many people have Mitchells that are over 40 - 50 years old and still going strong , reels that have been passed from father to son , or even grandson , Most reels are a bit flash nowadays how many will be around in 20 -30 years ! , A good quality built reel looked after and not abused cleaned and oiled after a seasons fishing , will last . true parts wear thru use, that is common to everything . There have been a hell of a lot of fish tamed by people using Mitchells . They have a good longevity .

We have 6 foot ultra light rods, however they do not have a flexible tip. It's hard to tell if your weight is on the bottom, as our Lakes have a marl, muddy candy soft bottom.

Amazing video! Been trying to get into fly fishing but I hate the high tech look of all modern fly reels so I’ve been researching as much as I could about the medalist all night till I’ve stumbled upon your video which told me everything I need to know!

When I was learning to fly fish in the early 90s I went to a one day lesson taught by Lefty in Wintergreen Va. It really made a difference, I will always remember that day.

I still use my whites 6000D that I got in 1980, it seems to work good in parks as I can eliminate the junk better than with my new digital machine which just works different than the analog machine. The garrett is much lighter and easier to use and goes deeper but the Whites just seems to be set up for coins.

1:44 is that a vintage Cicada lure? DORNS fishing has similar when I was a kid but don’t seem to make em anymore. My dad and I use to buy them about about 30 years ago. They looked different I bet this one beats those by a few decades!
