First, the other side, at least formally, is already one. but you are 54. All such nations have differing popular cultures, geography, natural resources, etc. The notion that one authoritative voice can well represent all such varied people is a pipe dream and would fall directly into the hands of China's hegemonistic ambitions. The continent would leap from the hot frying pan directly into the fire. I would be very disappointed in the lack of foresight of the current leaders of Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso for effectively and foolishly dissipating its wonderful new sense of liberty by enslaving itself to China.
