My 2024 Duke 250 just did this. I only put 1200 miles on it. The dealer is gonna replace the entire assembly on the handlebar. They have had a lot of Dukes coming in with same issue but since KTM is having financial issues they say it may take 3 weeks to get the part so I have to resort to using hand signals on the road for now. Glad I still remember those😒😒😒😒

I did this on my own. No problem. It's a great lift, probably the best on the market

Nice bit of kit, but expensive. I built my own version for around £100 (but then I already had a MIG Welder, Lathe, Milling Machine, and other Power Tools). Mine has a 'Cradle' that slots on in place of the Centre Stand (Guzzi Stelvio), the Lift-Arm then simply slots into that. Works in the same way as the ABBA Lift.

You'll have to try the Yamaha tricity 300cc and drive on a car licence 70mph so you can get it ont the motorway. i do like the looks though very 80’s Battlestar Galactica but needs to be the orrange and cream colour.

I don't know how manufacturers can get away with inflating the range of these EV's so much. The EPA sued VW in 2019 just for overstating fuel economy by a small amount in some of their vehicles.

Motorcycles are a much bigger challenge as EV's than cars or even trucks since its difficult to do much about the terrible aerodynamics situation, that combined with very limited room for battery, you cant stuff 1000 pounds of battery in a motorcycle. The Harley Limewire had decent range tho but still, compared to a normal bike its not much. But for a city, I bet these are excellent! :) But for that I'd probably rather get a E-bike :) One electric bike that has my eye is the Stark Varg but thats not for the street so not quite the same thing ;) Imagine, 80 hp, 122 kg motocross bike with high end suspensions and brakes, I think the price is similar to this BMW, maybe a bit less?

If it were half the price I could see this being more attractive but I’m sure it costs more than that to produce. I had a go on the Zero SRF and was blown away by the performance and handling but it’s too expensive and inconvenient for me to own as a flat dweller with an unpowered garage .

Very informative video and whatever sound issues you thought you had in the past well you’ve obviously sorted them. I won’t be attempting to beat any electric scooters off the line judging by your rapid take offs, the price though, no wonder you don’t see many around 🇬🇧

I really quite fancy one of those, well for local trips at least! I’ve very much been won over over by that type of riding position, in fact my GS rarely leaves the garage these days. The X-ADV is my go to bike as it’s soooooo much fun 😎 You pretty much rode past my front door so if you do that trip again and need a quick re-charge just give me a shout 🪫🔋

I had an electric scooter bought it had it a week hated it so much so sent it back, at a loss. I have several bikes and one scooter something I had never tried before in all my 40+ years of biking but this one is a BMW C400GT and great for running around. It’ll do 95mph, sit on the motorway 2 up at seventy easily just generally used for running around. Anyway what I was going to say was I preferred the C Evolution for looks and that’d do 100 miles on a charge so if I did decide on another electric think I’d look at one of them instead, used price probably half the price of the C04.

Could see it working as one of those bikes you see on the back of motorhomes to nip about on to look at the sights as well as a commuter. But I would find £12k hard to swallow though especially as I bet the re sale value is half that fairly quickly

It's interesting about your mate with the solar panels, the Australian government over the last 15 years put out all these incentives for home owners to go solar but now the power companies can't handle the power going back into the grid so they're going to start taxing anyone who puts power back into the grid so they can build bigger facilities to take the power back. I have 23 model love it but wish I got an older model these are restricted and the 24 is even more restricted you can tune them KTM will say you can’t literally most people that have or had KTM DUKE 125 will say you can’t, YOU CAN you need the right Pearson, when you look at the top speed it is not 65 MPH steady 75 MPH and can go 80 MPH, I will let you know when I have beaten my top speed 😂

How do you get the swinging arm out if it is lifting it from the swinging arm pivot ?

This biggest issue is the exhaust valve. I have the same setup and it sounds horrendous with the valve plugged in. Unplug it and its 10x better and deeper sounding.

Can you do everything with this type of lift compared to a normal flat bike lift ? Any pros cons ?

Will never compare to 2 stroke...those were/ are so much more fun high revving has the sound and smell that can't b beat. Remember bikers loud pipes save lives. On the safety aspect new 4 strokes are safer but have lost all the thrill of what they are meant to
