I love doing challenges in Bannerlord. Ive been trying to do a bandit only campaign. Ivr got a couple castles now. Sea Raiders, Forest Bandits, and Steppe Bandits mostly. Tactics very helpful to keep army healthy, because recruiting isnt quite as easy

I’m not as advanced as you but I took a liking to the tactics immediately. I think it’s so fun to be able to land a tricky win when stuck in a tough spot. I’m playing a save now where the king gave me a bunch of land in the western empire. Through solid timing and tactics I was able to repel being attacked by 3 kingdoms and begin to grow my new territory. My favorite part was defending a siege against the Khuzait of over 1500 troops with my 800. They didn’t bother building siege towers and didn’t destroy our catapults. They tried to climb the ladders. It was ridiculous. They nearly broke through once on one side but with good archer placement we held it and reclaimed it. Then we got to sally out and rip them apart.

consider me a newbie with under 50 hours, and I see this skill level and go... can I ask a few questions to get some pro tips to help me advance to this level? I barely understand how to use the commands. One of my focus groups is Mounted throwers/Mounted Crossbows/Mounted Bowmen - high speed, kiting, maximum range engagements. So the question is, how do I effectively make the troops do their full sprint kiting and running circles while unloading on the enemies? AI with their few calvery are always doing this against me and it is a strait up pain to even hit them. So I was going to copy the tactic but on a 250-500 pop scale.

I can’t seem to run mods on the newest version of bannerlord. I just load my game in on 1.2.8 and I can barely run RTS and Make calradia great again 😅

Do you experience any crashes from reinforcement mod at 1.2.9?

Diplomacy is a game changer for campaigns where you are a figurehead. The original mod was just about the most revolutionary work for Warband, so much so that nearly every conversion modpack included it. Bannerlord's is much improved and has good customization for kingdom diplomatic relations, exhaustion rates during wartime, ect. The game starts to feel similar to Total War once you integrate 'Improved Garrisons', which allows recruitment to be done by recruiting parties using garrisoned units.

I was wondering what if I just wanted to be an Imperial warlord (not a Kingdom simply a man with a big party and a bunch of fifes) how sustainable would it be? What could be the strategy to choosing and picking fights and sizing fifes while finishing of Empires simply in that warlord state.

Can I ask u what ur pc setup is bro ? I play on ps5 but I want to get in to the pc world. Would a budget of like $1500 be enough to run this game with some mods. Would love some suggestion from anyone that reads this, thankyou in advance

Watching this rebellion spread like a wave has been a good treat after workouts. I do have to ask, how do you deal with Pyrrhic Victories, where you win tactically, but the victory is at such a cost that you're at the mercy of incoming reprisals from smaller parties?

I really like seeing the RBM mod. Watching Cavelry dominate how they truly should is awesome. I wish archers weren't as nerfed as they are in that mod though.

Reinforcement system will always be on my “must have” mod list. That and Choose Your Troops because I always found it weird as a general you would go into the opening sequence of a battle with random troops selected by the village idiot AI. For immersion Immersive Battlefields (used in the vids) and Nemesis which make enemy lords near you yell insults at you. Reinforcement System looks at many factors when deciding to join a battle such as lord’s traits (cautious leaders might be wary of joining for example), the obvious chances to win, and their personal relationship to the other lord. If they have a negative opinion they might just pass by and let you smack their annoying fellow lord around.

I have save scummed this campaign im on countless times trying to kill the wives of my brothers. The 2nd generation of the shitstainian clan is going to have more than 20 members coming in hot, and im making them all shield infantry with double stacks of javelins. Four out of the 20+ will be the scout , engineer , steward , and i’ll be the medic so eventually my troops can have higher hitpoints. The forst generation shield wall is going to be so devistating. Imagine the 3rd generation! IM STOKED!

Just started playing this game 3-4 days ago, I stumbled across lageta being seiged and the nords took it early on. Had like 25 dudes but I was ready to dive in

Tac how do u manage ur fiefs .. like, are u making money from them ? With so many in the garrison, is it possible to make money from them or do u just make money from battles and selling off gear not needed? Are fiefs just there to store troops at a discounted price? Iv learnt a lot from ur tactical vids but I'm still not sure what to expect from a fiefs.

@4:30 how did you get 38 thrown? Havent seen any "quivers" that large, even with 2-3 of them

Soon as I heard you calling out your groups, units & corps I was hooked. Then when you started swearing like a trooper as the siege was on - you just got yourself a subscriber mate.

I am not sure I concur about the AI decision making. Chess is not as adaptive as people think. There are limited move sets for any board position, because there are a vast number of potential board positions it is hard to know all the best counters and moves and recall them at game time which is why AI has a real advantage. However a battle such as this or a space battle with even more axis of movement AI would need a database of all the possible formations and all the best algorithms for those setups. AI lacks the ability to modify on the fly or adapt to hybrid strategies. TL;DR AI needs presets for each situations which makes games like chess or Go! just a processing issue. Games like this require a level of 'simulation' to get that data in each second and redo that constantly that current computing cannot handle. Perhaps what you are describing will be true IF quantum computing is ever a real thing, but it may be the alchemy of our time.

I wish I could control individual parties on console. Its a completely different game when you can move specific units where you want them. I enjoy your videos and hopefully ill get a PC one day that can run bannerlord (have a Mac atm Rip).

stumbled across this randomly. Bannerlord is emphasizes my love for sieges. Something that Total war warhammer used to have and stepped away from. The epic fights for the town. I will sub happily.

Great video. I'm not 100% certain, but I highly doubt that mod will work for you without either eviscerating your FPS or crashing your game outright. MB2 is very poorly optimized for anything past the default 1024 max troop count. One could even argue it's not that optimized for 1024 lol. Regardless, that's what I always see in forums and from firsthand experience, having a low to mid high end PC, I get about 8fps when using a battle limit mod. I sure hope it works though! It'd be yet another reason for me to binge your videos.

Second battle the momentum was way better. In the first one you didn’t pull back you’re 6th, so it was desolved after the first wave or so. Also the 4th crossbow wasn’t used as much in the first battle. Ofcourse Beserker-Zuvan helped a lot too the second battle 😂 Beserker mode seems to work very well downhill 😅

Also I know archer have infinite ammo in siege defense, but what about crossbowmen? Did they have infinite ammo too? And I assume your troopes will run out of javelins

tbh im surprised that you do not really use horse archers yourself, i find horse archers and lighter cavalry the best counter against well, other horse archers. havign 1 such dedicated unit allows me to deal with other components of the enemy army, especially their infantry and archers. but 1 thing i realise is that you have more foot archers as something to soften the enemy so theres that(i use my archers in combination with light cav to protect my left flank). good work with the ladder kiting doctrine, it helps to ensure local superioty, ill try to incorporate it into my gameplay where i can.
