masterpiece???????????????? you're crazy, this game is an insult

These two games were a part of the holy trinity of Xbox Live in 2006/7. And yes I consider them as one game. These, Splinter Cell and Halo were the games that hooked me into online gaming, and they will forever hold a special place in my heart. Far Cry Instincts in particular as it was the first game I played where the community really had the freedom to create things. The amount of roleplay, obstacle courses, or just random predator game modes that I played back then were incredible, and the map maker was a great tool to help bring people to come and play with you. One of these Far Cry was also the first game I played where using VOIP would make your characters mouth move. It all felt so immersive back then.

I didn't think I was going to make it through this whole video, but Im glad I did because it went fast and was packed full of relevant and well articulated information and was very knowledgeable. I never tuned into the re-master because I was busily modding my own directory, already cautious of updates. So this is all news to me and I feel really bad for fans who had to suffer it. Even today I tinker with modding my SA directory, and suspect I probably always will. Im actually not much of a player and get most of my fun from modding. And I will take my mods and crappy outdated graphics over headaches like those in the video seven days a week! Even decades later, I feel the modding community has contributed tons more than anything shown in this remaster. I'll never trade compatibility with my personal creations for some shiny new effect. Ive even returned new high end hardware because it wouldnt play nice with my San Andreas.

"Didn't have games that made us cry" bro never picked up a JRPG in his life.... Narrative in games was definitely not in its infancy. Maybe for the GTA series, yes. But other companies have been doing good storytelling earlier than GTA 3.

Thankfully, still own the originals on Steam and disc.. and for those who don't, there are always ways to get the originals. With business practices like this, we all deserve better... especially at a price tag of 60,- € / $

GTA San Andreas is one of the best GTA games I've ever played and I still play it to this day 20 years on.

GTA Vice City is an outstanding game that I still play to this day. the music is excellent and so is the gameplay

man when i booted it up on the ps3 the loading screen itself is goated and the game was so freaking amazing the music the graphics the story. even though i was dissapointed with the downgrade of the gameplay compared to sa i still think its 10/10 game.

I always notice how the art style clashes each other due to the reused models. Pierce uses his SR3 model when you rescue him, but in other missions, he has a vastly different and unique design that transitions over to later parts of the game, it's like they gave him plastic surgery.

I was going into middle school when I got my 360 and I got Predator after being obsessed with Instincts on the OG Xbox. I spent every waking moment in that map creator! I hosted lobbies to show off my maps and nobody ever was mean to me for being a “squeaker” lol everybody was so nice and supportive and always asking to see what new maps I made. It was the most fun I had online and is a great memory to look back on. TWIGZnGUNZ, if you see this, I’ll never forget you bro! I gotta be real, I just downloaded it on my x one and... Yeesh, is this infuriatingly broken. I wish I could post a video in the comments to show you guys the red barrel that blows up ten percent of the time as I unload clips into it from barely 30 yards or the headshots that don't actually kill them. The biggest insult is they did nothing to polish it up between the OG Xbox and the 360, which could have made it the game it was meant to be.

Vice City is GREATNESS. Its Backbone was Laid down before it even started, Miami Vice and Scarface..... it was RELATABLE... Then add in Mr V.... MAGIC.......

The newest saints row as the absolute worst insurance fraud by far. First off you have to buy a business before you can even start the missions and second the physics are so wonky that it's extremely hard to even get a bronze medal in it

Feels like a skill issue to me, mayhems aggression made it far easier, everything was always coming TOO YOU, so you didn’t have to scramble and hunt down a juicy target worth more. Just don’t get hit by things, and keep blasting, they come to you.

I'm a fan of the OG. games I even liked 3 although it was kinda short and muted (not much wording like in 2 which was filled with ridiculous talks and coments) but since I saw a preview lets play of the 4th part back then, I was WTF is that shit? Would've they made the Prime project the series would've been way better going on, if I want some BS super power or ailien Shyte I'd play games that have that. I want a game that doesn't play after the rules, a game that has dark humor and makes fun on stereotypes, clichés, sexuality and politics with over exaggerating. THAT was what made SR better entertaining than GTA (which tried to be a more serious role play) I nerver played the Reboot I was in gooesbumps and high hopes, but as I saw the Desert, that was the 1st bad sign and the PC woke shyte destroyed the last remaining piece of hope. If they only would get SR back to the roots pick up at the 3rd and get Gat back like said with the clone story. But THQ is history and Violation too so who knows if there will ever be another SR.

I loved the old farcry games, they were really cool at the time and I never understood why they got rid of the superhuman abilities. It was what made it unique and fun.

''Extremely' is a strong word especially for a Extremely mid game. Each to their own though glad someone's enjoying it I guess.

They never fixed some obvious horrible mistakes despite all the patches. Of course I was going to forgive them and play the game if they made it work but it never happened Planes are still horrible to fly. Their damage visuals are buggy and laughable. You no longer have smoke from damaged parts and they totally removed the smoke that comes if a plane is about to blow up so you dont know until it just blows up. Can't turn the camera either like you could in the original... Pedestrians including CJ are still made of metal and running against vehicles damages them and makes sparks fly off and makes a crash sound effect. Gas canisters are just gone. Just straight up removed from the game. Broken car parts teleport after detaching and appear to fall way off where they actually fell off from. Their weight also seems to be all in 1 corner so they lay on the ground on their short sides as if they were standing up. Swimming is too slow. Can't skip closing the door when going in or out a vehicle with doors

1:05:22 this also happens in gta vc. I suspect its because of tommy crouching. If you kill all the enemies while crouched the next cut scene won't play.

Okay, one major gripe, the whole comment @10:50-11:15, is just a strange stance to take, yes there is over 100,000 textures but those are textures that were made/picked by the studio originally that all went through that very process. Making even 15 minutes of gameplay can be an insane amount of work, and a studio attempting to remaster 3 different games absolutely should be willing to undertake that monumental task because otherwise it's just been half-assed. Them throwing out that large number without any greater context of how many textures exist in other games is honestly a bit misleading to the amount of work it actually is. They wanted modern, updated visuals, without putting in the work for those visuals and tried to cut corners and make excuses for cutting corners. Regardless to how understandable corner cutting is, it's still corner cutting. Especially when other studios take on that type of task whenever it comes to making games
