as someone who is a panic! listener and absolutely loathed the album this was very fun and interesting to watch. vlv is special in a way because of how.. bad and hated it is. So it's cool to hear it broken down like this

I was so deep into the panic rabbit hole and then this album came out. We had already bought tickets to the tour. Brendon came on stage literally stumbling drunk, unshaven, and looked like he hadn’t slept in days. He sounded horrific. His band was working overtime to try and make him sound good. It felt like I was the only sane person watching Nero burn Rome. Everyone around us was eating it up and he was visibly stumbling and slurring his words. I hope he got help.

There is currently a huge portion of the population who use AI to "create" content and don't even know how they're really only stealing someone else's work and taking credit for it. The free and even paid models are trained on real content. Its a scam. Even worse, the "creators" aren't even vetting or validating that information before they release it due to the release schedule being so short. Edit: That study being useless is irrelevant. The issue can be seen with your eyes. "Those with eyes to see" as they say.

Sooo in games there’s a role called tech artist and generally their role (loooots of scope in different ways) is helping artists with tools or technology to create the vision they want. Like sick of placing trees? There’s something called speed tree. Sick of making background npcs? There’s tools to generate meshes & randomise features etc. and I’m all for that, cause no one wants to do the same task 200 times. I would LOVE ai to perform menial tasks for me. I want ai to denoise photographs or edit clips on the beat. Imagine if your video got copyright claimed and you could use AI in a click of a button to automatically remove the bg track or clip. That’d be phenomenal!! However it never is that; I hate most of the AI is based around creativity which I hate sooooo much. Like I’d be soo freaked photoshop was like “hey here’s an idea of something you should photograph based on your other photos” or ableton was like “here is some ideas using beats you’ve made before” I’d be so freaked out. I hate it hahah. So I guess what I’m trying to say is I’d be freaked out as well. I would definately use AI for menial tasks but so often it’s not that at all.

That is very weird! Also I too love the dog with apple videos. But the musical poster!?! I too found it really unsettling when I subbed one day and saw a few kids using ChatGPT to make a comic strip on photosynthesis, like come on that is so unnecessary and you aren’t learning.

Great analysis!! I especially like your points about punching up vs punching down. People with large platforms punching down can feel a lot like bullying, creating this sort of high school environment on the internet where the "popular kids" determining what is acceptable, pushing those deemed unacceptable to the fringes/margins. But then on the other hand, punching up can help to check those with power/platforms, like Jake Paul as you mentioned, or Elon Musk, or even some of those more influential "alpha male" and "good Christian" folks.

Ive watched your video and while I get some of your points, theres a lot that i disgree with you with. Im sleepy so Ill get into it later but i think we need to understand the difference between criticism and bullying, especially when it comes to critiques towards a bad person.
