I cannot find Part 2 where you got the Tx going. I am sure that would have been equally interesting. I have repaired an FTDX 401 which is very similar except for the ALC circuitry. Cheers.

The power supply LEDs are and no -5.2VDC. I removed the RF Divider Filter Assemble and the -5.2 VDC is correct. Can you please provide suggestions on what is drawing the voltage down to 0VDC? My only dig on the "S" line Collins is the 2.1 KHZ band width A little wider like the Kenwood 2.7 filtering would sound a lot better. BTW, I own a 2A and several Kenwoods.

It was probably arcing inside the bias resistor, hence the power meter jumping 😮. Nice repair and easy to access that resistor 😀. When the LED is off, the trace is a bit longer. When the LED is on, the trace is a dot 😂.

Gorgeous radio. Back in the day, I had an SB-33, then an SB-34. These days, there's 3 SB-34's in the garage - one totally working, one being repaired and a third that is sadly just for parts - its geneva dial mechanism has a missing tooth.
