@@RegularGuysOutdoors You might want to try SCORE low recoil slugs. It's a Canadian brand made in Manitoba. The factory buys some type of THUG SLUGS in bulk and load them commercially, known for its accuracy.

Just because you didn’t hear an impact, doesn’t mean that it didn’t occur. You should’ve gone and checked for blood instead of just assuming that you missed.

Congrats...I didn't realize they are as small as they are. The fur is very bulky and makes them look bigger-bodied than they are.

@@RegularGuysOutdoors yeah, agree, and it’s hard to explain to someone, but they smell like corn chips (Fritos). It’s weird. I’ve always hunted elk but the family wanted to try pronghorn and I got one and they liked it so it’s on the list now…

Bought this same exact shotgun 5 years ago from Cabalas. This is my go to grouse gun in northern Wisconsin. When you’re busting brush and in some really thick stuff where you should be, this gun has it where it counts. Short barrels and easy to get mounted for the shot. Got plenty of grouse and woodcock with this shotgun. Damn good brush gun in my opinion. Weird that the top barrel was off that much, I have the bone stock choke tubes and I’m able to dust clays with both barrels, usually at 40 yards out.
@RegularGuysOutdoorsАй бұрын
My guess would be that out of 10 guns, one or two have perfect barrel alignment, one or two are pretty bad, and the rest are acceptable.

20 ga should use # 6 to get the pellet count up.
@RegularGuysOutdoorsАй бұрын
In that regard, I agree. The Remington premier load is a good one for that. The low velocity of the Longbeard load in #6 does not inspire confidence and I would pass on it.

Who says you need an expensive shotgun and 3” shells. The Remington 58 from the 50’s with 2 3\4” shells is awesome. I am sorry I could not be there but having my 58 there with you brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for taking part of me along. I hope to be there in ‘25 if all goes well. By the way it does shoot straight. Probably one of the best old shotguns ever! Great triple!!

I always carry those light PVC waders in my backpack, just in case I need to retrieve something from the water. Generally, though, you just hold your shot until they clear the cattails.
