I am late to this party. I am won over. Their blend, dynamics, swag swag, they feel those chords in their bones...that makes a difference. I like that the all voices are similar volumes...awesome sound❤

The end of Come Fly Away sounded like a Barbershop 5th chord! Or damn close to it! My dad sang Barbershop for 30 years. I saw many International Champs over many years from 1966-1981.

I keep coming back to this (and all realtime) as the best barbershop in existance. Quartets and choruses need to aspire to this mastery of the art form...

literally the most relaxed quartet in the history of the hobby. everything is so polished yet seems so effortless. also if my falsetto ever sounds half as good as tim's, i can retire

I grew up with 1966 Champs The Renegades, and The Gentlemen's Agreement later. My Dad was a tenor for 30 years for The Cherry Capital Chorus. This is a great example of a ringing chord! They do it so well! It takes much commitment to practice that and get it right. I watched my Dad's quartet practice often in our living room for many years! Good job fella's! Take a bow!

Singing a polecat in the finals is a BALLSY move, and they made the right call by doing it.
@benjaminpryse38024 жыл бұрын
Simply the best. When listening to other quartets, I find myself thinking "Wow, what a bass!" (Masterpiece), or "Wow, what a lead!" (Marquis). When listening to this group, however, I think "Wow, what a quartet!". All great individual singers who make each other better by pooling their talents. Its always a reality check to come back and listen to these guys after listening to other groups.

What's the story behind the roast on Max Q? I know they got "stuck" in second for three years in a row, before winning in '07. But what happened before? Did they say they'd quit, but came back?
@askcastellar93943 жыл бұрын
initially, max q was going to go into retirement after 2004, not because they didn't win, but because they disliked how much time they were spending away from their families, but they decided to keep going.
