I can't fathom how you can walk on stage in front of thousands of people and sing this clean. Legit the cleanest quartet ever IMO

They're great, sure. But in this world you're describing I guess Acoustix, Vocal Spectrum, Gotcha, Michigan Jake and countless others don't exist.

Simply the best. When listening to other quartets, I find myself thinking "Wow, what a bass!" (Masterpiece), or "Wow, what a lead!" (Marquis). When listening to this group, however, I think "Wow, what a quartet!". All great individual singers who make each other better by pooling their talents. Its always a reality check to come back and listen to these guys after listening to other groups.

Takes perfect pitch and tonality from all 4 singers to sing this Perfect . Amazing

I am late to this party. I am won over. Their blend, dynamics, swag swag, they feel those chords in their bones...that makes a difference. I like that the all voices are similar volumes...awesome sound❤

The end of Come Fly Away sounded like a Barbershop 5th chord! Or damn close to it! My dad sang Barbershop for 30 years. I saw many International Champs over many years from 1966-1981.

This is just the best. I attended a workshop by the predecessors, Studio One, way back when. I get goosebumps even today.

@tdvorak99874 жыл бұрын
mickey gijzen 2 of the quartet members were there last year but yes seeing them back on the AIC show would be stellar obviously not this year because of corona but in Cleveland!

God you could fit half the universe in the space inside that chord. That's as much sense as I can make of the way that chord makes me feel.

Drayton Justice was part of the Gentlemen's Agreement that sang in Traverse City MI for one of their very first shows ever! When they retired, they performed their last show at Interlochen Arts Academy's open air Kresge Auditorium. In June 1981, I believe. They were hosted by the Cherry Capital Chorus of Traverse City. They actually came out of retirement more than once. This show was truly special because they had ALL of the members on stage at once. They called themselves Pieces of 8. They had the lead - Drayton Justice, the tenor -Al Rehkop, the Bass - Bob Whitledge, and 5 Baritones, including Glenn Van Tassel and Greg Backwell, all singing an 8 part harmony song they had arranged to introduce the members and say farewell! What a show!

I completely agree. The intro here is so effin’ badass - especially the swipe on “unwind” (0:27). The tag (2:22) is epic too!

+Wahl95 That year's webcast featured interviewing every quartet as it left the stage. The interviews were all the same and becoming boring. Realtime thought it would be fun to use the Rat Pack-Mafia link and have some fun. So they asked Ray Schwarzkopf if they could beat him up, like a Mob beating. Ray liked the idea.
