Do you guys have any tips for this campaign? I just finished the Italy campaign but this one seems more difficult. And this is my first Total War campaign.

7:14 exactly what happened to me, pediment sardinia declared war and I’m just at Vienna, how can I solve this cause I have to move armies all the way back then all the war forward again and not sure I’ll have enough time

Before guys like lionheart and legend of total war, Coldmeat was the og total war KZbinr imo. He was the first one I ever watched and helped me get into the series even more. He’s a legend in the community and I hope he’s doing well wherever he is.

Question Why don't you take out the British naval base at Cypruss in the opening phase? The Royal navy is weak during the first turns and there's a small British garrison...it gives you naval capabilities in the whole Lavent and speeds up troop movements by sea, opens interesting strategic options with a naval landing in Syria...you can take the Ottomans from two sides later on advancing via Suez...

Disagree from the beginning, should build walls and barracks right off. Building a trader is a lower priority than hardening your defenses from the Gauls at any and ALL COSTS. What an idiot.

I actually played this campaign smart. I made it a point to ally with the Western Romans initially and only went after the smaller factions surrounding me. I just gradually waited out the Romans as one territory after another fell into rebellion and it gave me an excuse to march in and take over. By the time I finally moved on Western Rome I had conquered all of Germany, France, and the British Islands. There was little they could do to resist me at that point. Eventually, my armies sacked Rome itself.

2023 and im still here re watching this whole playlist/walkthrough.

This mod sucks, it basically makes the game about quantity of conquerable territory rather than an actual quality experience on the campaign. Here are my notes after watching three videos on the campaign map and looking at the mod's notes to see what they claim they changed: 1. Unit cards look like crap... You can't tell the difference between a normal hoplite and armoured hoplites with the colors and textures being so bland. Same thing with the actual battle map, the colors are horrible and makes it look like it is 2 blobs of grey or brown fighting each other. In vanilla rome 1 the units and unit cards actually look different and unique and on the battle map you can actually see that it is groups of people fighting and not a mass of color that has no texture or quality. 2. There's a lot more territory on the map which is great for gameplay. The clear problem with this though is that there's no strategic advantage to a lot of these added towns and cities. A lot of the cities and towns in vanilla Rome 1 have a level of strategic significance. For example, Bylazora in northern Macedon holds a choke point that is one fo the few places to cross into greece and having a strong holding force there is important. In this mod, Agrigentum is an example of the lack of care for where and how cities are placed in this game. Like, why place a random settlement in the middle of Sicily, there's no importance to it and it just looks like it was put there to raise the settlement count on the campaign map. 3. The mod promised more and improved army formations for all faction types, but they simply didn't deliver on this promise. Very little explanation needed on this point, it's simply just not true. 4. Either you're playing on a very low difficulty or enemy troops have been nerfed because hastati have better stats than militia hoplites and yet you're still winning without using flanking tactics. I think it is the fact that the enemy units have been significantly nerfed, I watched pilla volleys by Roman units not kill a single hoplite entity on multiple occasions. That's just absurd. 5. The ai isn't smarter in battles as the mod promises. In fact, the ai is dumber. At least in vanilla Rome 1 the ai was capable of flanking tactics and not attacking the player in very well defended positions. In this mod, the ai is very prone to attacking one unit at a time instead of using it's entire force all at once, and using hastati to chase skirmishers for whatever reason. Overall, I think a lot of the promises that the creator of this mod made were good promises, but none of them were kept and the only thing that was done was the increasing of settlement numbers. Unfortunately, this mod basically made the same mistake that creative assembly made when making Rome 2 and all the later games. Creative assembly and this mod creator both made games where the only changes were more settlements, new units, and different graphics and didn't add to the overall gameplay or campaign experience.

I hate how he skips over great emissions and goes to the end, talk about a scumbag move
