Just found this! I only play with Darth Mod, ever since his first mod on Rome:TW. Glad to see this play-through. Someone commented on your cannon placement. They were correct. Likewise, placing troops behind others requires that you turn off their 'fire at will' option. Otherwise, they'll fire right into the backs of the units in front of them. Regardless of all that, you won and I thought the battle might well go against you. Well done!

Well, as first fights go I gotta say.... THAT WAS EPIC! Glad you started another great series, general. Keep them coming. BTW, don't attack the French yet. you are right to get those small nations around you and move an army up North.

Not bad, but there is a lot of room for improvement in your tactics. You positioned your artillery poorly on the hill, it was smart to go to that hill, but you lined the cannon up so that the angle of the slope cut off their line of site to more than half the map for all but one of your batteries. You also should stretch your line infantry to three ranks, denser formations just cut down on firepower and make them better targets for arty. I would also recommend moving your line infantry in groups of three or smaller. These two things together let you cover more of the map with fewer men.

I found out how to make Napoleon Total War: Darthmod Epic edition play much faster and no crashes. Thanks to you Coldmeat 247. I used to play on 1920x1080. Now I play at full screen settings on Nvidia and in game have the resolution set to 2560x1440. 😎👍 My battles are absolutely fast rendering and all Maxed at Ultra settings. I have a 1660 ti graphics card.

As an avid player of Darthmod:Napoleon I feel that it's easy to wipe the floor with France/Netherlands as Prussia. The way I went about it was that I invaded Saxony (after allying Austria, Russia and the UK) and then proceeded to work more on tech and buildings. I went through some massive army growth early on because my economy could take it. Then the UK called me into a war with France 'n friends.I destroyed the Dutch armies in one battle as vengeance, since they had taken Cleves from me. The french were next, stormed Hanover and knocked out Napoleon the first time. By 1806, I had controlled all of the historical territory of the North German Confederation (minus Oldenburg and Mecklenburg). I had also invaded Belgium, made the Dutch a puppet and as of yet I am planning my "final push" into Prague and Munich (both taken by the French in the war).

Why did you elect to not put your light infantry into "light infantry formation", or clicking the button for the "light infantry doctrine"? Does it really make a difference?

you reference needing a good graphic card. what are you running if you dont mind my asking? my new computer i just ordered last week has nvidia geforce gtx 860m w/ 2gb gddr5. is good enough to run this the way you are running it?

I believe, at the time, ColdMeat was running an ASUS 2GB GDDR5 DIGI+ VRM technology Graphics Card HD7770-2GD5. I saw the photo on his G+ site. Yours should do just fine.

In dearth mod do the line men kneel like the front line fires then kneels then the next line fires?

***** well fire by rank was used but they did not kneel. but they kneeled in the front two ranks so other ranks can fire if there are a ton ranks. but at waterloo the british were two ranks deep

Jacob Kelly Actually, no. There simply wasn't enough room for Wellington to utilise the two-rank line at Waterloo, particularly in the space between Hougoumont and La Haye Sainte. Author Rory Muir writes, "At Waterloo, much of the British infantry was formed in 4-deep line, which made the procedure for forming square much quicker and easier….." Author Mark Adkin also writes that, "... at Waterloo lines were formed in 4 ranks on the infrequent occasions when they were needed because of the limited space available." However, the famed "thin red line" was used by General Abercromby at Alexandria in 1801 and by Sir John Moore at Corunna.

How do you get so many soldiers? Like in a regiment. I can see that there can be up to 500 soldiers in just 1 regiment which is crazy. If anyone knows how to do that please tell me!

When you go to the darthmod client there should be a option that says X1 or x2 click the latter for triple the unit sizes my line infantry are 360 a brigade and 500 for milita

+Aziz Farhat Darthmod only works with legal copied only.You need one like in Steam.This is not my advise(and not a troll)this advise already said by the Modder(Darthvader his name)last year.
