Thanks for the review! Reblum AI seems like an interesting tool, but when it comes to retouching, Retouch4Me is my top choice. It’s faster, more precise, and handles tasks like skin smoothing and background cleaning effortlessly

Good tutorial, but please make an Ai model of your voice and speak nicely in the mic like humans do so that your videos don't sound like an annoying tired frog, and it will make your work easy. Unless you are talking like that on purpose to sound cool, but in fact it hurts ears

Very well done review. Amazon actually had these for $139 right now and a $30 coupon so $109.00!!! I had already ordered the Comica BoomX D2 Pro on sale for $139.00. I have the Rode Wireless Go 2 but have misplaced them. Of course as soon as the new mics get here I will find it.

Nice video - quick question: are you planning on editing directly off the NAS? How do you find actual edit speed? (e.g. scrubbing etc) I have been thinking about getting all raw media onto my NAS and then having the (much smaller) project files locally on SSD, which is also backed up to NAS/cloud. Not figured out the optimal setup yet though, so would love to know how you've found it!
@dodmedia16 күн бұрын
I've flitted between editing from internal storage and editing from the NAS and a bit of both. Nowadays I just shove everything on the NAS, and edit straight from there. If I need to, I make tiny proxies, but not often. Scrubbing timelines in Resolve works more smoothly than scrubbing timelines in Premiere, but neither has been an issue to be honest.

Great review - thank you! David do you happen to recall what background skin you used (the blue one in the images)? Was it 'Haze Blue' perhaps, or a custom color/gradient? Would love to know the specifics
@dodmediaАй бұрын
Thanks! It was actually all the white backdrop, and color temp shifted towards blue in post 🤓👍 theres a natural blue hue already because I used one light here so what's hitting the subject is balanced but the blue spectrum hits the background faster than other colours so it appears colder

Totally agree. I think the thing that got me super excited when these puppies came out was really their price and size. The aesthetics could be softer and the flaring less aggressive.

Thank you so much for this comprehensive tutorial. 🤓🙌 Removing those specific frequencies is so helpful when they are the problem and not necessarily a fan or other ambient noise that is across a ton of frequencies. You also showed the looping option, which I’ve only seen in a few audio tutorials.

Wrong, you have to subtract the desired stagger length from the overall composition length.

I bought a hotdog v3 and bun to use with my Crane 3 Lab, and i'm a little disappointed to be honest. The gimbal and slider do NOT sync up, so you program in your waypoints and by the time the slider gets to even the first waypoint, the subject/object is not in the part of the frame that you want it to be. I'm not saying it's completely useless, but it's not good. You can't use it to shoot products expecting professional results. If you want to dolly across to a subject and then pan as you go by, that's not happening. You just dont know when it's going to start the pan. So, you have to do it by hand. If you're going to do it by hand then you're better off buying a cheaper motorised slider. I suppose it would be alright doing landscapes and stuff, but as for in studio. I wouldn't buy one. Also as a side note, I didn't receive a spare belt and thread adapter with mine. The slider comes with a 3/8 thread on it so you can't mount a dslr directly onto it, or even a gimbal, you need a 1/4. Many of the video's you see state that the adapter comes with the slider along with a spare band for the motor, it doesn't. So to buy an adapter you can get a cheap one off amazon for $12/$10, but, once it's tight the camera might not point in the correct direction. To buy an adjustable adapter you're talking an extra £35/$40 for the very cheapest and about £100/$120 for a good one. Just be aware of this. Can I recommend it? Not without a firmware update fixing the sync issue. But my guess it isn't going to be fixed. When the slider came out 2 years ago this issue was highlighted all over youtube. A firmware update was mentioned as a solution, but it's never happened. If it's not been fixed by now, they aint fixing it. Basically, this is good as a toy or a hobby. Also every time it passes the centre pivot, it judders. Every time. I'm guessing it's the bearing catching or something, but if you try to take it apart to look at it, all the bolts shear off. The other problem I've found is that if you create a waypoint in the app and then move the slider and create a second, it doesnt slowly move to the second point. It will hit the first point and stay on it until until it moves to the second point, and then jump to that. It would be better if it slowly went form point to poin. That way you can "track" a subject. There needs to be 2 video modes, a point select, and a drag mode. What you actually can do is create a first point and then use the joystick on the gimbal to track the object, as the app records what you do with the gimbal between setting a and b. The problem with that is this, if ive already completed the move by hand, what do i need the app for? The app really is limited in this regards. Be aware of the limitations before you buy one. YC onion will not reply to your emails. they do not offer customer service. they will not do any firmware updates. @yconionofficial its gash, your customer service is gash. You should have done a product recall when it was obvious it didnt work.

Hello David thanks for 2 great breakdowns. What would make the next one even better is if you can give us more light and better angles that allow us to see more clearly when you cut to the close ups. Because you are giving a lot of information and most of the rig is black and in low light the clarity of patch points, points of contact and other important details are hard to discern. Thanks
