Eh… sadly, the story does end with Diablo 3, for a lot of us. I don’t want to turn this into a game rant, but personally, I will never buy a Diablo game that has an always online requirement. It’s simply not justified, but I don’t see Blizzard going back on that decision. Meaning that a few short decades from now, those parts of the story will be inaccessible. It’s ironic. I have been buying a lot of Diablo memorabilia and books lately and intend to acquire even more. I do love this world and this story.

I agree with the entire review, but I think the game feels more like a top-down Dark Souls than it does a Zelda-like. I think the absolute high point of the game is its art direction and although it is no V Rising in terms of combat quality, it still has extremely satisfying combat.

We will very much get there too late and watch as she's ripped into mephisto.. or we'll fight her and her second form is real mephisto. But something has to happen that allows the release of another prime evil in the process.. I think we'll get a Baal expansion before a Diablo expansion for the third.

Diablo 4 is like playing the campaign in Starcraft and POE is when you hit 1v1 ladder.

The first time I played this side quests I didnt even realize it was basically investigating the aftermath of the intro cinematic, I thought it was just another fetch quest, like "find my friend/family member". Until I walked into that final chamber and saw all the blood petals on the floor and it just clicked. My jaw just hanged loose as everything I just experienced leading up to that moment suddenly started to make sense in this new context. There is a few side quest chains that tell really amazing stories, and I complete them on pretty much every new character each season, just because I love their stories so much. This quest is one of them.

Damn, it's such a shame these kind of videos don't get any views from Diablo players. They would rather watch another meta build video for a hundredth time from some sweaty min max chasing streamer. Side quests are such an underrated part of the game, there are some amazing stories that breathe life into the world of D4. I wish they added more quests like this every season for us lore junkies. It sucks that Blizzard only ever listen to the non-stop whining of the grinders, while ignoring the rest of the fanbase, just because we dont go about review bombing the game or sending abuse and threats to the devs on twitter.

I have been playing since closed alpha. I just had a two year break against my will and started this league two days ago. This league is so simple I can't believe people are complaining! I haven't seen people whine like this since aisling one shots in betrayal lol

I am not very smart so please help me understand....so lilith is actually preserving sanctuary. probably with crappy reasons where else inarius is trying to obliterate it. So i am this godlike barb in sanctuary, i need to actually support Lilith to actually exist right? I mean i agree that humanity is probably crap anyways but i wont exist without liliths decision. And as for mephisto....what would be his modus operandi? And diablo? heck the game is named after him...

i would love for this theory to be true but i have so little faith in blizzard im doubtful neyrelle is alive and chose a separate path because shes a strong female character prava is alive because shes a strong female character, and not only that, as if that wasnt enough, shes also the preferred skin color. how could the story do away with such necessary, strong, female icons? neyrelle was a helpless child and somehow became an independent powerful horadrim? prava is the only black person in the entire game? and is the powerful matriarchal leader of the church??? weighing this backdrop against the potential epic lore theory begets pessimism but hey this was a great video and i wish the story would be epic. i enjoyed the campaign. the story-telling was great. but the story itself i thought was weak. weak motivation for lilith, weak, surface level, child-like development for inarius. weak overall resolution and unsatisfying for true lore-chads.

I'm looking forward to the upcoming dlc in October 8th but it's kinda of sad to a another lady character in the Diablo franchise get shallowed by one of the prime evils but it seems to be a common thing in Diablo franchise but it is going to be fun to see how tuff new evil demon and monsters I am locking forward to the change and the Spirit born class an it's machanics

Like D2 & 3, after a while , no matter what, it's all pointless. Every league goes thru stuff. Re-run towns 1-10 ☑, re-run Maps 1-17 ☑ kill bosses ☑, bragging rights IF you're good enough and a KZbin streamer ☑ ! At least for for me, I'm still working on the last 3 !! I'm stuck in crafting hell, can't get enough assects to craft and little I do, IDK what I'm doing.

I do wonder if destroying the soul stone would even rid them of Mephisto permanently. It is well known that demons simply respawn out of the black abyss when killed. But could it be the case that, if mephisto is within the soul stone when it’s destroyed, he will be permanently gone? Maybe someone can answer this more concretely. It seems to me that given the soul stone is essentially a tiny world stone, mephistos existence is bound to it while inside. My theory is that it could work because of that. But idk really I’m just spitballing here.

Have 800 hours in the game and havent played since 2020. My main was a toxic rain archer build and between maps and delving and all the other end game mechanics, even after 800 hours, I felt that I was getting nowhere. Items that were worth having never drop, and they cost so many exalted orbs that I didnt have. I think I had like....3 EX drop for me naturally lol. I ended up just giving up because it was just tedious. The idea of starting over for every league was just insane to think about too. I do want to try to come back but I feel that it would just happen all over again.

I loved how in Neyrelles mind, Mephisto is morphing her body to mirror his own form, building it from within. That way when he fully takes control of her body, the flesh will already be willing to transform into his image. The arm ripping in two and her fingers elongated to match his own was a brutally nice touch.

Maybe im stupid, but what really is the difference between using the rune in your armor and not using the rune at all? You kill Antanas in every ending I thought, so how could you be siding with him, unless it means that you support his ideals? Obviously using the rune in your weapon would bring Adyr back, as your striking Antanas down with the rune specifically which sends his soul to him. Great vid by the way 👍

Why doesn’t angels invade hell? The evils are imprisoned in sanctuary meaning hell is without a prime/lesser evil to lead them.

The image of Widowmaker being a prime evil had me hyped for the new expansion.

Charsi is not in D3 but she is definitely in D2 the most famous black smith of em all. :) And also during the time you recorded this the voice acting on all NPC and Cutscenes are incomplete but now everything is put together in place. Sadly the game has become even more greedier than it has ever been.
