I have a 2023 260RD. I believe we have the Nautilus P4. Says in the video to set on City Water to put antifreeze into the tankless HW heater. However, City Water does not actually suck the antifreeze into the system. Only the sanitize (to the tanks) and winterize (supposedly to everything but the HW heater) actually pull in the antifreeze. I know it is a challenge to do a video for each combination of accessories, but it would sure be nice. The manual we got with our RV is pretty much useless as it doesn't match what we actually have. We just winterized today and on Winterize, it did appear that the antifreeze did get to the HW heater. Hope that worked!

I don't understand the hype about this brand.. They don't use Azdel/composite materials in the sidewalls and they use OSB which luhan and OSB seems to be cheaper materials than Azdel and plywood.. Using cheaper materials but charge higher than like rockwood or jayco.. nor do I get the arrogant snobbish "you can't advertise sale prices, you are only allowed to advertise MSRP" communist approach

Why did you choose not to use Victron components, especially since Future Solutions prominently features Victron and Battle Born products on their website? Which company manufactures the components for your Extreme Solar Package? We're considering adding the Extreme Solar Package to our next Grand Design, but we’re not familiar with its components compared to the well-regarded Victron.

I appreciate this video however being a Grand Design owner of a 2021 Transcend. Why won’t you repair the proven design flaws and issues with this TT? Yes it was built during covid and the internet is full of complaints and aggravation. Last year our front decals started peeling off and it looked terrible. Contacted GD and was told it wasn’t their problem however they would send new decals but would not honor any type of warranty to have them put back on. The feller I talked to said and I quote “you can get any teenager in the neighborhood to put them on for you for a little cash”. Bull crap!! Since grand design refuses to pay to have them put on. The front of my TT has no decals and I usually urge most that ask about it not to buy grand design trailers. Our fridge issues, molding coming off inside the unit. Circuit breakers that keep flipping to off because of overload issues when there isn’t anything extra plugged in and more. I will call to ask for help and am usually turn away. A very poor experience as a customer.

I have a 2022 Reflection 303RLS. Somehow I made it through two winters without freezing up the Furrion tankless water heater. I did upgrade to the second version controller so it could be used in moderatelly cold weather. However, now in season three I've sprung a leak in the heater coils, not the mixing bowl. After looking inside the heater, there's an obvious problem. The water inlet and outlet of the heater coils are at the top. There's no bottom drain for the heater coils. Also, opening either the drain plug or the filter will make it impossible to blow out the water in the heater coil. Based on this information, here's how I plan to winterize the new water heater. Step 1 - turn the valves to city water, and leave the red (heater by-pass) valve in the "UP" position. Step 2 - blow out the system with air. Open all the faucets one at a time until no water comes out. Step 3 - blow out the system with just one hot water faucet open until no water comes out. This should clear most of the water from the heater coils. Step 4 - open the bottom drains, the water heater drain and water heater filter plug. Note: At this point, there's still water in the mixing bowl. The heater coils should be mostly clear of water, but any retained water will collect in the bottom heater coil. Step 5 - replace all bottom drains, the heater drain plug and heater filter plug. Step 6 - turn the valves to the Winterize position, but leave the red (heater by-pass) valve in the "UP" or Open position. Step 7 - turn on water pump and open all faucets one at a time to fill the system with antifreeze. Turn off water pump. Step 8 - hook up a hose to the outside trailer faucet and open the hot water valve. Turn on water pump and antifreeze will flow out of the outside faucet hose. Run the antifreeze back into the antifreeze bottle. This will recirculate antifreeze through the water heater and fill the heater coils and mixing bowl with antifreeze (and a little water). Run for at least one minute to ensure good mixing of antifreeze into the mixing bowl. Note: The goal here is to get high flow through the water heater to flush out any trapped water and replace it with antifreeze. It's not necessary to open the water heater drain and water heater filter plug until you dewinterize the trailer in the spring. I hope this helps. I would have posted pictures, but this forum doesn't allow photos.

This is a very good procedure! I am going to copy and paste it to a sheet in my RV folder on my PC. I like the idea of recirculating the antifreeze from the jug, through the system, including the water heater, and back into the jug via the outdoor faucet hose. I had to replace my water heater earlier this year (Spring 2024) after bringing it out of storage. I did everything I was supposed to do, but it busted anyway. Thanks!

I Want the bathroom to fit a washer dryer combo hookup area, since this is the one with the bunks gone, it should be able to do that for peoplewith disabilities to not have to go to a laundrymat, I feel like. I want a valve that switches the shower drain from taking the water to grey water tank to the black water tank with the switch in the bathroom for peoplewith disabilities. I would want a bed/mattress tent for the master bed that zips on both sides that you can get in and out, that breaks down easily and pops up easily, it gives privacy and can black out light to the main sleeping area.
I love this but wife hates the tiny fridge. I mean this is the best for our needs, except fridge. Ideas?

I would buy this trailer if it had a dinette instead of the couch and at least one window in the lower bunk. I cannot process the reasoning behind having a couch with a tv for what should be a family camper. Its a small camper made for short trips yet caters to couch potatoes. Bunks = kids. Couch = dad watching tv while kids are on their phones. Please put a window in the bunk and give us a dinette option and its a gold star for me

There was a square or something on the passenger side outside about 4 1/2 - 5ft from the ground??? Really buged me. And several things inside. He didn't let Mike show the cab. He shut him off to go outside and actually looked like another video with you coming in because Mike's shirt was the same as yours. Inside it was blue. No I don't have a thing for Mike, I'm to old for that. I like people that are straightforward when saling or showing you your potential new car, house, RV, whatever. Thank You for this video. Let me add my two cents here. When we ordered our 2024 Grand Design solid to 370DV we honestly thought our system would be powered by Victron. Imagine our surprise when we took delivery and opened up the front bay under the overhang and did not see Victron component. We could have refused to take delivery and go do something else, but we decided to give it a shot and to be perfectly honest with you three months later we haven’t had a single issue with the solar package. When you compare the total Boondocker package from Future Solutions and the package that Future Solutions and Grand Design offers it’s very comparable in price and power output. We plan to visit Future Solutions in mid August and have two more batteries installed. When we ordered this fifth wheel back in January I do wish the Grand Design website was more forthcoming on what all the components would be for the Future Solutions package and at the time getting information was rather difficult. But as of right now, we are very happy with the way the package works, and how clean the insulation itself is

Even with our plans to add two more batteries, giving us a total of 1600 amp hours, I would not want to run three for very long , you can most likely get away with an overnight AC in the bedroom on a hot summer night. Air is not reliable. Antifreeze should always be the primary step during winterization, not an option as this video suggests. Especially with furrion tankless water heaters, as a lot of them come with the vortex package, which is essentially a mini hot water tank. Also, turning the valves to city water isn't the solution for winterizing the tank unless you have a portable pump to pump antifreeze into the city water connection. What you need to do with the nautilus system is set the valves into dry camping mode, then find your water pump and disconnect the inlet side (the side that pulls water from your fresh tank). Connect a 3 or 4 foot hose to the inlet side and put the other end of the hose in a jug of antifreeze. Then, just turn on your pump and open the hot side on one of your faucets. This will ensure you get antifreeze into your furrion tankless water heater with the vortex system and can guarantee your water heater isn't damaged next season. This is coming from a canadian who does countless winterizes per year and has never had a customer come back.
@GrandDesignRVTV6 ай бұрын
Per Furrion winterization procedure, you are required to blow it out first. We always recommend using antifreeze when winterizing a unit.
