They were made before there were drones, but we swear they were made for droning!!

Probably a little less informative than usual, but we were focusing on the footage for this one.

There will definitely be a candle shop in Glasgow and Edinburgh - maybe even in Kirkwall. We had so much rain on the island while we were there. But you can't argue with the rainbows.

@@welltravelledlife I am indeed more inclined to return to Scotland after watch your videos, it's been too long :) And with the exception of the castle in Edinburgh being invisible day 1 due to fog during my last visit, I haven't experienced the outdoors in that way over there and would love to. Doesn't even have to be on the water, I might even venture onto firm land!

We're so glad you saw this one. We felt like the Quiraing really hit the emotional high notes for us. So moody and so raw.

We love the Cuillin mountains, but we think the Quiraing is still the most emotionally captivating part of the island.

You would love those big hikes in the Black Cuillins. Way out of our league, but right up your alley.

Those roads are the real deal. Justin is an amazing driver - and Jonathan made us proud too!!

That was a very close call! Quite a trek to get it back. Unfortunately, we weren't so lucky with you guys. But... we got a new drone and after looking back through our records, we found that we had protection on that old one, so we'll have a replacement when we get home. We can't thank you enough for all your help trying to locate it. What a little mini adventure. We ended up at Curry's in Dundee later that afternoon to buy a new one. And at the end of the day, we ended up at Brewdog in Saint Andrews for a pint. Love to you both!

We hear you. We know we weren't within the boundaries of the park, and we get that you're technically right on target, but we aren't the only ones that consider the areas around Ulverston and Askam part of the region. Not meaning to offend or spread misinformation - just trying to give people a sense of the area we're visiting. And regardless of where it's located, we've fallen in love with The Ship and the people who frequent it.

Isle of Skye tugs at our souls. The geological history has created some of the most stunning shorelines, mountains, cliffs and falls.

We were totally freaked out about the drone. I thought it was lost. Jonathan just had intuition that we'd find it. He was right.

Great point. We must admit we felt closer to Oslo than we did to Honningsvag.

The bridges are really a sight. And most folks venture into Edinburgh because it's gorgeous, but the small town is super cute too.

It's a 10 minute drive to Portree, and about 7 minutes to the Edinbane Inn where we had a couple of good dinners. It's definitely more remote than staying in Portree, but we loved the views and the seclusion. We did all of our shopping on the way into the island, and made most of our meals in that terrific kitchen.

The bridges really are iconic. Having each of them from a different century and in a different style with different engineering makes them fascinating.

The history and making of the bridges is really an engineering feat. They make for such an iconic landscape.

You need to have at least 7 hours to do the itinerary we did (and have time at each stop). You can reach out to Knut, our driver and see if he's available. He was really good about making sure we stayed on track for time.

Both breweries were great and it was such a fun way to meet locals and relax after our kayaking adventure.

We are kicking ourselves for not bringing our drone. That would have been gorgeous footage, but we got great views from our climb and from the kayak.

We don't live there either. We are probably the wrong people to talk to about residency requirements.
