Thank you for sharing this video. This video resonated me. I’m currently a LMSW in SC with no desire of being a LCSW. I would like to ask if it ok for me to remain as a LMSW if I’m comfortable in the field of medical social work.
@LifeWithLocc17 күн бұрын
Hmm, that’s a great question! I’m not 100% sure about the difference/benefits of the LMSW versus other licenses but I do know that there’s value in the cert if you’re staying in the field! Shows your expertise and knowledge.

But the us ain't the nigeria dream. Then he didn't even offer to lend a helping hand on any hotel expenses or towards my trip. But when i met him, he was working but wasn't making much, so i was very understanding. So i offered to send him money, but then i thought about it and said no. And he post nothing on socical media and his page was made in 2023. I went hrojgh those likes and just a week ago he was under ebeything this old white lady posted age about 40. Kids and all and a bunch of old d broawhen asked he lied. Im juwt so over that nigga though. Bc magically the page disappeared after. Without money there is no love for me. Great video but these are my reservations -if you want to date a man from a third world country, underdeveloped , no infrastructure, harsh economic situation, unemployment, starvation fostered by the founding fathers of your own nations. then you must be willing to take certain responsibilities that comes with that. Do you realize that 1 dollar = 1,700 Nigerian naira ...crazy right! How do you expect him from an economically disadvantaged position pay bills any where close to your level . Think.....the best he can do is to get you flowers and a fews things upon you arrival Question: have you ever experienced the pain of being a Nigerian living in Nigeria. With no political privileges or affiliations.. -. You're not from in Nigeria, you're weren't born into this system so you don't have the total understanding of how things work here. If you're scammed is your fault baby.....love and lights.

Yes - I am SO glad to have found this video, and all the comments. It is SO affirming. I finished my MSW here in Canada just over a year ago. I had the vision (during the 'pandemonium I think you called it, SUCH a great word!) to do my MSW (I already have an MA in Anthropology....) and I'd thought I'd work part time in the hospital and do part time private practice. I even set up my counselling business and gave it a go for a few months...then very quickly felt like...I cannot do this forever. I have 20+ years of program coordination and evaluation experience before doing my MSW and I felt like all those skills were not being utilized. I'm now in a coordinator role within the hospital and have been struggling with....why am I back where I started? Was the MSW a waste? You are right, this work IS Social Work...at the 'mezzo' level. I'm helping design and create the systems/programs that are going to be of SERVICE to thousands of patients and families. I'm also serving those I work with every day as an informal leader - with some dope SW skills to boot (what would the world be like if all program managers were SW'ers?!). So...THANK YOU for sharing your story. Maybe there's a podcast/video series idea here....interviewing other SW's who are in 'non-traditional' SW roles?! Sign me up, I'd love to come on and chat with you ;) Blessings! Leah

They are not all the same. Some do have genuine intention. But if he asks u to come see him . But everything on your Dime. Red flag. Ask for money, not busy enough or always is flag.
