You know. You mentioned electric start, you have enough free space on the connecting shaft to add a golf cart style Starter\generator, might be worth looking into

A good way to match both engines rpm is to make an equal length intake manifold and run a larger single carburetor

may i ask why you want to run such a small driven sprocket? if i understand correctly you want to spin the input shaft of the transmission faster than engine speed?

@ford1979truck8 ай бұрын
Even thought you strapped both jeeps together they are legally a unsecured load if dot ever stopped you . If the bumpers had a bolt or two holding them together then legally its one unit

Okay... Thanks again for the information...
@scubasteve79468 ай бұрын
Looks good man. Have fun! At a later time you may want to add four more straps, so you have (4) tie downs on each vehicle which is basically what most officers will want to see. Basically two on the back axle pulling opposite of two on the front axle. The theory is if one strap then fails, the vehicle would still have a decent chance of not moving. Redundancy if you will. I love the concept, it gives me ideas for my 4-H group to build stuff to teach the kids with. 👍
@scubasteve79469 ай бұрын
That spring loaded hood hold down on the passenger side is installed backwards. Turn the base around 180° where it bolts to the fender. Then it will flip out of the way to facilitate opening the hood without interference. Love the project.

If your u-joint yolk is straight and does not pivot at all as it is rotating it will not survive high speed. There is a preferred angle you'll want to stay near to if you plan on going fast.

It has both.... How would you connect a full link to replace the half... Isn't the full link the outer part of the chain ?
@johnmartin2079 Жыл бұрын
You would have to use a chain breaker to split the chain at the half link and link with out allowing the pins to fall out so you can reassemble at the end take some spare chain and get the dude at local motor cycle shop do it in 10 min
