Great video . First time on the channel. The production quality is way higher than your view count.! The big channels always get the framing wrong and have graphics from Word 98, but you nailed it. The STriple is the best sounding bike ever. Its definitely on my to buy list. I think I only need the R now it has the LCD screen also. A striple ridden with skill is faster than a litre bike with no skill. The 10 grand bracket is so contested yet this is king. I totally agree its a masterpiece although i havent ridden the MT09 yet. Is that the next video then ?

Wait till the dash display dies. You'd have to change the display, immobiliser, and ecu which will cost you an arm and a leg. The bike will not start with the dash display damaged. Basically you'd be stuck with an enormous brick with wheels. Never again another Triumph for me.

Between the r and the rs I prefer the r dash and slightly more relaxed seating position. The r has pretty bland color choices.

Same old wives tales from someone ‘looking’. I’ve had both, the plastics on the Yamaha are actually sturdier, the finish is as good as the Triumph, even after 6 years of being thrashed and ridden through the winter. No problems at all with reliability or finish. The Yamaha has way more grunt and more fun.. Great Video! I am interested in what the modifications did to your fuel economy? I have an Ultra Limited and I am interested in putting in either an S&S 475 cam or a Wood 22XE cam. My only hesitation is that I take a couple of long touring trips with my riding buddies. Their bikes are all stock, and they like to go up to 200 miles before stopping for fuel. I had a friend years ago that put a cam into his 2008 Ultra, and his fuel milage went way down. We were having to stop every 150 miles to keep his bike running. So, this is where my concerns come from. What was your milage stock and what is it now with the 475. Again, great video and thanks in advance for your comment on fuel consumption!!!

I did a stage 1 on my Harley trike and it was pretty sweet, especially sounding. Later on I upgraded the stereo and did a stage 2 with a Jims 918 cam and it was a BEAST with 103HP and 135TQ at the wheel ... on a Trike, that was insane. I can easily do 120mph and get the front wheel up off the ground in the first 2 gears. But like you mentioned, the noise was pretty harsh. Totally drowning out the radio at just cruising speed. I actually took out the "Zombie" baffles and put in "Mid" baffles and that made the sound MUCH better, but I lose 4HP and 5TQ. Some days I miss it, most I don't. There is ALWAYS a balancing act.
