Well done review! Wishing you well with your channel and looking forward to future reviews. I’d be interested in a 2022 Tuono RR review🙂

I have a 2023 Evo. It's truly a great bike. It might be the best bike I've ever ridden. It's even pretty smooth, though it's a huge v-twin.
@sweetrides8418 Жыл бұрын
Hi Shaman, thanks for watching, I’m hoping to upgrade to the evo, does it make a big difference to the ride?
@ShamanWS6 Жыл бұрын
@@sweetrides8418 In my opinion it wouldn't make a massive difference if you know how to set up the suspension properly and you remain at a fairly consistent weight, as well as a consistent riding style. But it offers a flexibility that I find very compelling - just the simple fact that it sets up your sag for you and can adapt to the road you're riding on as you ride is mind-blowing. That makes the bike not only handle like you have a suspension expert on hand, but as if they were on the back making adjustments as you go. And this isn't first-generation stuff, you really can't feel the suspension ever get out of shape, it seems like it knows what to do before you do it. For me at 55 with a shed full of race bikes and more than enough time spent with wrenches and best guesses for suspension setup, this is worth the money all day.

Drop front from a 17 to a 16, helps a lot with that stupid 6th gear. Std anything below 90mph it chugs.

I really do like the looks of mine. But yes, 6th gear is really, really tall, especially for a naked bike.

The design is strange. In pictures I really didn't like it very much. But once I saw it in person, it just looks nice. Few more months and I will own one finally, been waiting since the 2017 model

Already own a KTM, looked hard at jumping over to this one as they offered a 2500 EUR discount on a new bike. Nah, still way too many reliability issues and QC problems for my taste.

Curious, if it came down to the EVO version of the SD vs the non S version of the Street Fighter seeing as though they are the same basic price which would you choose?
@sweetrides84182 жыл бұрын
Difficult one Chris, unfortunately here in the UK Ducati dealers only ever have the S versions to test ride, so I have not ridden the std version. Have you?
@chrisvantassel88672 жыл бұрын
@@sweetrides8418 I have not, supply chain issues have made everything unobtanium. I used to have a Super Duke GT so I have a good idea about the KTM. I guess what I am asking is that if price was not a consideration which would you prefer? It is disappointing that the Ducati has no gas gauge or cruise control and for $5k more (s version)
@sweetrides84182 жыл бұрын
I do love cruise control and no fuel gauge on a £20,000 bike is crazy, so although I’ve not ridden the std v4 street fighter, I’m going to say Superduke, simply because it comes with more kit and is better value for money
@ShamanWS6 Жыл бұрын
The best part of the Evo is that it will help you set up your sags automatically if you want and it can be fully autonomous or you can set it to whatever ride characteristic you like ... track, sport, road, comfort or the automatic modes. It makes the bike handle properly with just about any rider, like having your own suspension guy. You can mess it up too by setting it manually, without understanding the outcomes ("let's set sag to 10% or better yet 100%)

Mine is the 2021. Very accurate analysis of the bike. Took mine from Phnom Penh to Thailand and back, never missed a beat. However, 2 issues, 1, the bike cooling system is wholly inadequate, with the fan on constantly in warmer weather, very annoying 2, KTM customer service, absolutely shocking.
@SuperDucatiman2 жыл бұрын
Hi Neil, thanks for your comments and for watching my first video, more on the way soon so please subscribe. I’m surprised to hear of your experience with KTM customer service, was the issue with KTM or your dealer?
@neilallen4602 жыл бұрын
@@SuperDucatiman KTM dealer and KTM in Austria. Believe it or not, I had to drive from Cambodia to Thailand to get service. Zero support from KTM. Actually it is quite well documented that KTM are very poor in the customer service department.

Very interesting on your fans coming on. I live in Texas and I have never seen my fans kick on with my 2016 Super Duke R. Gen 1. With temps. reaching very high in summers 100 Ferenheight + sp. , I have always been amazed that the temp . gauge never rises or fans come on . Gauge always stays in the middle , about 4 bars.
@ShamanWS6 Жыл бұрын
Mine has had no issue in hot areas, the fans are only running in cities / slow riding. But it's nowhere NEAR as hot as my RSV4 was and even seems to be less hot than my old 990cc twin Tuono. Anything with near 200hp is going to put out some heat.

Depends how you ride it. 40+ mpg though. Fast Rd avg 100 miles to reserve light. For the power that's very good!

Really pretty good. I've got 250km from a tank riding easy (during break-in, actually and probably never again) but average around 200km as I'm rarely below 70mph/120kph when I'm out for a good day.

@@Pg-vv4lv Big twins. V4s. Bikes that have character in everything they do. Inline-4s are objectively great engines but they don't have a lot of character. A big twin like the LC8 feels like it *explodes* when you give it some stick and a V4 moans, gurgles and makes all kinds of noises. Then there's the BMW Buzz in the pegs and bars that really gets to me. I've bought big twins for decades now because they aren't objectively better, they just are more fun and have character. I choose to race mostly inline-4s and my remaining V4 because at high RPM and at making big power, they're very efficient. But that's not how I ride on the street.
