How did you come up with the four buckets?
@viceroplays
@viceroplays Жыл бұрын
Hi @laurence1211, Exercise bucket - I have ADHD and anxiety so the exercise bucket is to bring down my cortisol levels (stress hormone)... I got this idea from life coach, Maria Foreo (who has ADHD) and Krissy Cela (whose personality I can relate to). Study bucket - because I think we need to keep learning and contributing to the building and dissemination of collective knowledge. I also think by studying the past whether that be academic history or quantitative data, we can iterate and test things for the future. Create bucket - There are constantly so many thoughts and so much noise in my mind that creating something helps get it out and deepen my understanding/learning from what I do in the Study bucket. When you create, you are testing and doing and contributing to ideas, methods, beliefs, etc. Socialize bucket - I feel like everyone I know starts realizing at a certain age, that having all of the other buckets full means nothing if you have no one to share it with. Humans are social creatures and IMO, we can't just live in our minds or the virtual world. I feel great after spending time with people I like.

Antidepressants are the worst .the withdrawal’s symptoms , the damage they do to you physically and mentally long term or short term and the tapering methods that don’t work for 90% of people … most of the psychiatrists world wide are not really informed about the serious acute withdrawal symptoms , interactions between other medications … the lack of information about these type of medications is extremely high literally 1 between 4 - 5 people who start or stops treatment with any antidepressant have severe symptoms that the patient nor the doctor understand or care about that much that the patient end up killing himself or killing somebody else during the process etc… these type of medications should be removed totally and replaced with behavioral therapy imo and that’s it these SSRI / SNRI medication are the devil and don’t help quite much they literally damage the patient more than they’re helping him if time goes back I would’ve shoved every pill down the toilet . I’m 11 months in and regretting it all

It sounds like you might be going through a rough time. Hope things get better. I don’t think antidepressants alone are a panacea but coupled with therapy, other forms of support, and self-awareness they can really help a lot of people under the guidance of a medical practitioner.

I think there is a balance to find, especially considering the side effects. You're maybe right that there's some ego involved, as I personally wouldn't want to have to rely on these medications to numb the pain. They can definitely be a life-saver, I just wouldn't want to become dependant on those. Good luck on dealing with your depression, I personally never had this issue but I deeply empathize with those who do

@tayri9736 I don't think antidepressants “numb the pain” so much as stabilize a person’s mood. Depending on the type of antidepressant, the drug is theorized to do this in different ways (e.g. SSRI versus SNRI). I think it's the notion of “having to rely on” that prevents a lot of people who need to be on them from doing so. It becomes reframed as a test of willpower in lieu of something you do as a wellness ritual like eat and sleep.

How has it effected being in a relationship? I’ve heard that it drops libido. what’s your thoughts on that side of antidepressant?
@viceroplays
@viceroplays Жыл бұрын
@captinsprinkle7795 I’m not a doctor so I can't say; it is probably specific to individuals and specific drugs. I think it's important to manage depression medication with a qualified medical professional to find a solution that fits a person’s lifestyle.

@@viceroplays I know it sounds ridiculous I was a skeptic for a long time but legitimately try cutting out carbohydrates and doing keto or carnivore for 30 days and I found great results personally. 1 month into carnivore and after adaptation period i went from daily hours long panic attacks to much more mentally stable and relaxed. I legitimately thought I was losing it and had to be hospitalized but so much mental health is a result of a bad gut. Carbs are inflammatory and cause all sorts of havoc for your mental due to gut trauma. Good luck!
