Dont get me wrong this track is amazing but BOY does it stretch on too long when watching it live, it felt like half an hour

The artwork in this musical is phenomenal, it really gives you an image of the destruction and size of the Martians. let alone the music, this track is probably one of the most story setting and atmospheric pieces in the musical, followed closely by the red weed.

"Look at these wonderful gifts they left!!" And as a result, the British empire endured to this day but has evolved into a vast federal entity, similar in structure to the French community.

The thing I love about this musical and adaption that even though it's over 100 years old now. We would not do anything different. We would still be doomed not matter what we could muster against the Martians. Our technology and weapons would not even scrap the surface for what the Aliens can do.

In 1978 the local radio station played this over 4 nights and I dutifully recorded it on happy tapes I bought with my dinner money from the chemist on the way home from school.Tapes have long gone but I have three pristine albums with all the drawings in them

Jeff Wayne is a super talented composer and easily one of the best of all time. He utilises the instruments so well and knows how to play with the feels. The music really puts you in the shoes of the main character and what they had to witness and just how depressing the situation really is.
