I have Dead Angle and Empire City 1931 pcb's and this looks like a very decent attempt at Dead Angle on the Next. I think the block tactic on Empire City 1931 made for a better more suspenseful game as you either had to commit to an accurate shot to take them out or block and then you risk them taking their shot and taking you out. Empire City was almost impossible to replicate on home systems in 1986 as it allowed you full movement left and right and up to the top of the buildings with very smooth fast scrolling which is asking a lot of home systems at that time. Great review, thanks. It does seem a bit pricey but very polished and playable

Eeeek not sure about the dodgy PS2 re-use case seems a bit cheap for a 30 quid game, i was opposite this all weekend at revival that and the soundtrack to that shooter game were burnt into my retinas and earholes!

Is this even running on Next firmware? I mean: no AY sound but FM...

Great vid Scott, looks good, would love to see OpWolf remade for the Next, hope somebody does it. Looks like the mouse will be a must for later levels. Enjoyed playing this at Revival and was all set to buy it. But £30+ post I think I'll pass, Spectrum Next games are becoming too expensive for what you are getting I feel sadly.

Interesting one, think it probably a lot easier when played with a mouse. Hopefully the bad guys and levels change quite a bit as it could feel a bit samey after a few plays... the floating ghost is a little odd but I get what it is trying to represent. Looked fun and runs well, good job to the creator.

Park Patrol is a really fun fast paced game on the C64 but the Speccy version looks like it suffers from slow movement and bad scrolling.

Missed this series mate, your correct the 3d racer is the 3rd in the series, hard to find. Hate donkey Kong 😂 Monty mole is a classic, go for the full gremlin set 🥰. Ooooh that copy of r-type looks minty. Strip poker, look forward to the video😂. Great bundle from si.

Excellent pickups there Scott👌 Canyon Warrior don't think I've played but looks good. 3D Gran Prix is an excellent game, as is Ms Pacman. I have the same box R-Type but nowhere near that condition, nice! Narco Police is one expensive game to buy so great gift from Si there, they're all great games he gave you. Those joysticks😂 keep that one in yhe box😆 So glad yoy got that Sword of Ianna, stunning set that. As for the TX game, I still can't get past those Slinkys on level 3😬

Hey!!...Thanks for showing our game off. The name idea was to do with Patricia who based it on George Lucas Film THX 1138. I Decided to give it a story so TX is the ships name Taris Xavia and 1696 is the year on an earth-like planet more advanced than our own. Regarding the weapon system you hold down the button (C) or third button on your joypad when you shoot the canister and see the question mark (?) This stops time for you to select what weapon you desire via the D pad in all 8 directions. Hope that helps.

That's a minty jag mate, not a system I have any history with Definitely the best version of the 3do, not a system I have many games for but there's some great games if you dig. Not only is it not region locked but you can burn all the back catalogue. As always mate, great pick ups.

You bagged some nice bits there mate, the GD drive can play CD games now (not sure if Steve had updated to do that?) that 3do is the one i always wanted, i do have the later flip top lid version but that OG style is where its at for sure and yeah its region free, hell you can just burn the images onto blank discs!

Well done for getting the early bird ticket as it makes sense. And yes the staggered system worked better this time around. As a trader I got up at 5:45am to set up. As for KZbinrs I saw RetroBreak who bought from me which was nice. In regards to the heat it wasn't that hot and I agree it should be mandatory to bathe and deoderize if you go the gaming markets, you got some right smellys. Ha you didn't speak to me did you! Then again I am Nintendo handheld software seller (and some Sega Game Gear) which isn't really something you'd jump for I guess. Maybe next time old sport. :)
