There is a point in life where we need to realize that we need to move on, which can be extremely hard to do. I quit a career of 28 years because I was done with it. I think a lot of people forget that we only have a limited time on this planet...make it worth it.

I've been learning French now for a few years and I stumbled upon your channel so now subscribed. I used to have a large following on the socials - not a million - but large enough. It was my job, it allowed me to travel the world, speak at conferences, get paid etc. Three years ago I deleted all my accounts. I was sick of it all. I felt like I was a commodity; I was at the whim of algorithms; noticed my behaviour at looking at the stats. People and colleagues thought I was mad. I basically killed my career. It was the BEST thing. Initially hard, now I see that I had to do it to reclaim my time, my freedom of thought and creativity. I had more time to read, write, explore - and not share stuff for reactions. I reclaimed the old me back.

Love that part of France. Further North St Malo and Bayeux are amazing. Bayeux is so historic and the D day beaches are worth a visit..

I can see why Natasha enjoys living in such a beautiful place. Love the beach and the sea; it is so calming to the soul. The dogs were having so much fun playing together. Glad you got your book signed and got to spend time with your friend.

Oh yes - Normandy. I visited Omaha beach a few years ago. It was an intense experience. The beaches were beautiful - quiet peaceful. Mind-boggling to think of what happened there. And the American cemetery incredibly moving. Brings home to the enormity of that time.

Not just 1 dog, but 2. Then a 3rd dog appears at one point in the video. Cool shots showing the bunkers and walking along the beach.

Definitely go to the beaches of Normandy. We were fortunate to have some Norman friends show us the sights and acquaint us with some of the history of the area. It is said that people from Bretagne think of themselves as Bretons first and French, second. Something similar is going on in Normandy. (and the oyster are great!) The effects of Normandy's place in WWII still linger, and if you talk to some of the elderly residents, you might uncover some surprises.

I'm with natasha. When you have serious health issues and while its lousy when you are dealing with it, once you pass that point it's an incredible gift. Your perspective on life is so different. Ice cream is sweeter and the eiffel tower is less touristy... Almost. 😁

Interesting listening to Natasha and life. I am approaching my seventh decade quite rapidly. Once I’m there, statistically, I will only have one thousand weeks of life left before I shuffle off either to heaven or hell even though I am not religious. Live life to the full, grab opportunities as they come and have no regrets.

In the nicest and least judgy way possible, leaving that many followers is a privilege. Not many have that privilege, but those who can and still feel fulfilled Honestly should use that privilege. While humanity is a collective, it relies on individuals CHOSING to participate. When we lose our choice imo is when we loose ourselves, causing damage to the collective. TLDR: self-care is necessary for Humanity as a whole

Sure it's important to use your voice wisely if you're in the public eye and have any level of fame, and would also say that every person in the public eye also has the right to leave it at any point for any reason.

There are always several layers to your vlogs, which make them so lovely. I’m for getting rid of most of the ugly, hard concrete structures…maybe 1 bar would be fun, but, still serve as a good reminder of the ugliness of war. If another war blossoms up, the powers that be, will be that much closer to having space to build the new ramparts needed for the AI offensives…🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖 I love the way Natasha thinks, and expresses herself…a woman of great grace!/ La Rochelle and the Île are now « must-visits ». Merci! 🌿🪷🌿🕊
