Do you think changing to High American would bring any benefits to these Ryukyu runs? I just did so in 1530 and I'm considering conquering China like you did in this video, but I feel like I've wasted a lot of years just to get the Aztecs MT. Also considering staying Ryukyu and making use of the Sunset Colonies.
@StrategySphere8 күн бұрын
High American is quite a bit better than the Chinese tech, but personally I wouldn’t spend the getting it. It may make sense staying Ryukyu…
@sayakp25716 күн бұрын
I ended up choosing Japan and had no idea their MT was so strong. However, the missions I get from the Aztecs interfere and cause bugs with the Japanese MT, preventing me from completing the 5% power cost reduction mission. My army quality is making all wars go really fast, though. Haha

Great video from the Suisse voisine... As a side note, if you manage to get a PU as Burgundy outside of the France region (I got a lucky Bohemia PU once, due to their Hussite events that mess up their dynasty), you only keep it if you go for the Marie option in the inheritance. Otherwise, the personal union will be given to France similarly to how Castile PUs Navarra and sometimes Naples alongside Aragon in the Iberian wedding
@StrategySphere28 күн бұрын
Makes sense. Someone also said you keep the PUs within the HRE, otherwise they go to France.

How exactly does moving the capital to the americas work? How is it done, and why? There isnt much clear info out there
@StrategySphereАй бұрын
Hi! It enables you to directly own the colonial territories (the Americas and ANZ). To move, your capital should be the last stated territory on its continent. So it could work if you first get a single province in Africa, move your capital there, and then to a colonial region. I demonstrate it in my Aztec Sunrise video, after becoming Manchu moves my capital to Northern China. I then move it to Africa and back to Mexico.

It is meant to spawn early institutions in Asia to keep it exactly 1 tech levels behind Europe at all times for AI, to prevent the Middle East and Hordes steamrolling over it. Problem is, the AI is dumb and often doesn't do the necessary steps to activate it and the few times it does, renaissance stalls at 30%. Meanwhile the institutions spawner in the horn of Africa which is designed to keep Etheopia and surrounding Muslim princedoms as well as Arabia up to date with Europe to stop the Mamluks steamrolling them too is however AI dumb proof, so long as Etheopia doesn't smash it, which it does 40% of runs.

When the Burgundian Inheritance fires, you inherit all your subjects within the French region and within the Holy Roman Empire. So if you can manage to revoke the privilegia before that, which should be possible by vassalizing three electors and then excessively religion-switching between Catholic and Orthodox (would require a No-CB war on Byzantium early on to get those orthodox provinces you need) and constant leaving and rejoining the Empire, then you could be even more of a blob after the inheritance. Also, if you can time Charles' death while you are in a war with France with enough warscore to vassalize France, you can wait for the Inheritance to fire, and before you click on the French option, peace out France with the vassalization option. That way, when you then decide to become France's subject, you will immediately integrate Fracne along with your other subjects and thus save yourself the unnecessary independence war (and the risk of a game over by France simply clicking the "Duchess of Burgundy" Mission in their mission tree.
@StrategySphereАй бұрын
These are very nice advanced strategies, thanks for suggesting!
@ArvenicoАй бұрын
@@StrategySphere no worries! If you do try it and manage to revoke the privilegia in time, remember to quickly lose two random wars on purpose two undo the last to imperial reforms before the inheritance fires, because it won't fire if Charles' heir would be elected HRE Emperor, so you need to get rid of Erbkaisertum and ensure that you do not have an eligible heir who could be elected Emperor.

Just a heads up, the next major patch will be updating the Holland Mission Tree, the Burgundian Mission Tree and the Mission Trees of Middle East Minors. All of which will impact the ability to attempt to follow this playthrough point to point. Holland and other Frisian minors will now become extremely rebellious after the Burgundian Succession once the Reformation starts, guaranting the creation of the Netherlands should the territories remain in AI contol, also will make it a pain for the player if not dealt with quickly. Also, the Turkic and Persian minors will be more of a threat now as their missions will now result in the region being more turbulent, no longer will they be gobbled up by AQ and QQ, it also means you'll likely have to contend with a Mamluks with strong allies as opposed to Mamluks with more territories.

Wanted to do a similar strategy, but I'll probably fail. Being slightly perfectionist, I decided to conquer more land to do more tag switches (from England, Prussia, Spain, Sardinia, Two sicilies add Austria, Croatia, Tuscany, Netherlands, Scotand, Poland, Switzerland, Ireland, hansa at least). In order to achieve this, the mana would not be an issue as the mission trees give way enough. However I really wanted to get more land to be able to click more missions, which bring me to ~1750 with all of Europe Burgundian. Fairly certain I can rush and finish WC but will fail with the One faith and one culture I planned. All of it was delayed as I didn't have access to the OP modifiers of the tag switches for about 30 years. Also I forgot to delete spain early and it escaped as a few islands, might go as France or Scandinavia instead. Nevetheless a fun run, thanks for the idea!
@StrategySphereАй бұрын
Yeah, One Culture seems out of grasp with these parameters. How about One Faith, did it work?

@nehemiahkenny5027Ай бұрын
Another common way to deal with the reversal is to go after your claims in Naples. If you can complete the war with Epirus before Alfonso dies, you can move your troops to Rome (typically allying the Pope for your mission) and take your claims. All of these get you up to 92 development or so. This greatly reduces the amount of development you have to do at the beginning, gives you a 60 tradition admiral to fight the Ottomans, and gets the land before they get PU'd by Castille/Aragon/France. It's also worth noting that you can remove the debuff to your ship building time by getting Venice/Genoa to 50 relations.

I've really been enjoying your videos. A random thing I've noticed in my games is that usually, you can charter company Bangkok from Ayutthaya fairly often, and usually surprisingly early as well. Doing this gives you the monument which gives yearly absolutism, governing capacity and aggressive expansion reduction all in one, with vassal force limit contribution as a little bonus as well. Even at rank one, it still gives an extra 5% governing capacity, which can still help a bit. I highly recommend it, as the AI doesn't seem to care too much about the province because it isn't a center of trade, so you can usually get it fairly cheaply, and having the monument helps a lot for expansion.

@@TheDaroby Sometimes the Ottomans give access if Byzantium is allied to someone else. You can also get access from Venice and load lots of mercenaries on their island right next to Athens (which is what I did).
