no way you are shooting below native iso. It ruins the dynamic range

I use respect dual ISO when recording in S-LOG3 but in this case I used S-Cinetone, do I need to stick to the native ISO in this case too?

@@josealcoy i dont see any reason to scinetone over slog3. stick to the native iso and use nd for exposure for lowest noise and highest dynamic range

@@SSimon I see your point, but for quick talking head videos like this one S-Cinetone is a huge time saver, with a few tweaks the video is ready to publish, S-Log is an overkill if you are not going to spend any time color grading, it also makes shooting more complicated

@@josealcoy there is no need for colorgrading. Just overexpose and apply leeminglut and you are good to go.

I agree that KZbin is probably the only relatively decent of the social media bunch. And the interactions with people can be meaningful. Partly because you have some control over what you want to watch, and partly because people usually need to watch at least 30 seconds of the video to decide if they swipe it out or get into it.

Totally agree, some people go deep with their comments, I have learned a lot from good intentioned advice from viewers that helped me improve my audio and other aspects. Thanks for the watch!

ive had it for a year. I was gonna sell for a6700.... But it doesn't have Dynamic Stabilization. DS, AI framing, and Skin Face smoothing. this is the only cam that has those 3 features. I can't sell.

I think at least $75 per video if outsourced overseas, depending on how much work it entails. I’m not making money from KZbin, so it would be an investment to save time and grow the channel.

My choice is FE 20 mm f1.8 GM FE 50 mm f1.2 GM Sigma 85 mm 1.4 DG DN ART FE 70 200 f2.8 GM ii On my sony A7IV ❤ On canon side RF 15 35 f2.8 RF 50 1.2 RF 85 1.2 RF 70 200 f2.8 With R5 but it too pricy 😢

I was highly disappointed, and still to this day I can’t figure out how to make them sound as good as the original But you seem to be enjoying them. Glad they’re working well for you! @@nyarinyax Thanks! Sorry to hear man, some common problems where that the low cut filter is activated by default and sounds terrible. There is also the firmware update that really improved the sound. Hope you will sort it out, they are decent mics.

framing at 1:32 looks very good, just saw your video about your go-to lenses, this must be the 85mm. are you shooting wide open at f/1.8? if yes, can you tell me the distance between lens & where you're seating?

thanks! indeed, that's the 85mm wide open at 1.4, haven't measured the distance, but I'd say around 3 meters

I’m debating either getting the 35mm 1.4 or the 50 mm 1.4. I think the 35 mm will be more versatile, but I just love 50mm focal length. What are your thoughts about those two lenses?

It really depends what you use it for, I once owned a 50mm and didn't use it much, it was not wide enough as a walkaround lens, as an only lense I would get a 35mm, but that's me, look up on KZbin if other creators are happy with 50mm as an only lens :-)

Yep, Completely agree. I have the Sony 35mm f/1.4 GM, it's a great lens. I pair it with the Sony 85 f/1.8, it's not quite as good as the Sigma 85 f/1.4 but it's a lot lighter and shares the same filter size (67mm). Although if I could only have a single prime I would probable go with a 50mm f/1.4 it's a versatile focal length.

@@josealcoy If you do video then generally wider is more useful. I use my 35mm for video all the time. Would be my go-to lens for a talking head video.
