Came out with this at the perfect time brotha. Getting my mpc one plus Monday. Been eyeing an mpc for 3 years and never knew why there's nothing with quality distorted guitars in expansion packs for mpcs until now. All your hard work and dedication is MUCH appreciated. I'll be buying in the next month for sure (mpc this month hit my wallet hard man 😅) but thank you for this!!!

In this video it is meant to be used with the computer software as an alternative to the Akai hardware. So if you own the MPC One and use it with the software, yes just disconnect the mpc one and use the midi map I linked for download or map on your own.

How do you copy a sequence and edit without it making the same changes to the first sequence? I’d like to add a low pass filter to something I sampled to play behind the main sample. Every time I copy sequence a and it turns into sequence b and make changes to it both sequences end up being the same.

Every sequence work independently so if you edit it it will only affect that sequence .

It’s my first time buying from avid I purchased protools then made my ilok account but when I look in the gmail for the recipe it didn’t come with the activation code anything I can do ?

Hey after you converted and transferred the files to your MPC renaissance is there a change in sound quality compared to the MPCXL?

Yes, but to what degree? The older MPCs have a sound. The newer ones are great too but do they have the same character? I would say it’s extremely close. But depending on how your ears are tuned, will you notice a difference? All I can say is to me, yes. Have I worked on any of my old beats and rebounced them from the new one? Yes. So the change in quality is a give and take answer. You may lose some of the original sonics with a slight character shift but very minimal. On the upside being able to use your new plugins to add something new to your old beats is in my opinion, worth the upgrade. Peace.

Hey Peter, if the engineering program only gave you a version that was for a certain time limit unfortunately you’d either have to pay monthly/annually/ or for a perpetual license from Avid. Sorry to break the bad news. I wish you luck going forward. Thanks for watching.

Could i use my new email? For registre, coz my old email already unknown by internet, i bought my ilok 7-10 years ago original , protool 12 still on in mac, but indont know when i plug ilok n pop up for fill ID n Acoount? What can i do?…please

If you are registering for the first time you can, you should also be able to change your email. You’d have to login to your avid account and ilok account to straighten that out. If you can login then you should be able to add your new one. If not then you’ll need to contact avid via support email and explain, same with any other accounts that use the old email.

Can you have separate bars on separate tracks for example 2bars of hats 4bars of kicks etc🤔

As of today, I believe the bars are not independent to tracks but tied to the length of the sequence. Hypothetically if you have a four bar sequence, the workaround would be, record to bars of hats, then copy and paste it or double it for that track.

This was awesome bredda. Very calm voice and you explain at very good pace. Mi like how you did that quick chop and mash up. Mi learned a lot . Mi have a question is their a redo button on IMPC2. I deleted something but want to put it back. I see the undo button but the REDO is not clear. And please do a TUTORIAL ON HOW TO UNDO. I was just trying to undo one thing and mistakingly un did the main piano 🎹 track mi did. This would really be informative. 👍🏾🇯🇲🇧🇷🤟🏾

As far as I know you can install Pro Tools on as many computers as you want, it will not launch without the license. So as long as you have your license on an ilok pro tools will launch on whichever computer the ilok is plugged in.

I bought pro tools education subscription and i got a couple emails from avid giving me my order confirmation but I did not get a code for anything. I was reading other comments and you said If I buy if from the avid store it should be automatically connected but I do not see a pro tools license at all and when I try to open up pro tools it says I have no license. I connected my avid and ilok account already. Help

It should be activated now you just need to enter your ilok account information on Avids website to deposit your license if you haven’t already. If you did, look at available licenses in ilok manager and drag the pro tools license to your ilok ( if you own one and it’s plugged in )

License can’t be deleted just deactivated you can reactivate by looking in available license tab in ilok manager and drag it back onto your ilok

I purchased the MPC Ren when it first came out believing the Ren " Supports samples and sequences from any MPC ever made" as printed on the box. However I quickly found out that this was not the case and could not access files created on the older MPCs. Im glad I found your video which will help me rediscover some classic gems. No 1 license 1 ilok. You can use it on two different computers by plugging your ilok with the license on it into another computer but not two simultaneously.

if you are on mac go to applications folder and look inside AVID folder. If you are on PC it usually creates a desktop shortcut but if not it should be in program files/avid/ if im not mistaken.

This is so frustrating! A fuckin MONKEY can ("install") the stupid programs. The problem is your video doesn't address what to do AFTER the silly programs are installed! When you purchase Pro-Tools online via the AVID website, they take your money, send you an email, which has a link in it for you to register a free account at iLock. There is no physical ("key"). Anyone watching this video knows that yet you don't answer anyone's questions or tell anyone how to proceed without that stupid key. (Today, May 2, 2020 - what's super frustrating about this program is you pay for a subscription, download the iLock manager and that's the end. There is no way to connect or download any real product. All you get is a stupid key manager that displays licenses for a bunch of side-line products that don't make a difference to anyone and no access to the main Pro-Tools product. Meanwhile, iLock has a bunch of FAQ content on their website that doesn't address the specific problem anyone is having. You have to surf through a bunch of "could be this" content in hopes of somehow, stumbling on the reason access isn't given to you quickly after purchasing your product and registering for the stupid iLock account. This whole process could not be more complicated or confusing.

If you have any confusion always read the MORE INFO section of my videos. Just to answer your question, if you downloaded it there is no need to enter any activation code. Just follow the steps written and you should be fine.

I purchased protools ultimate through the avid site yesterday and never received an email with the activation code. Come to find out when purchased online it should automatically apply the code yet I have zero available licenses. I’m in a pickle and hope I can receive some help.
