6.40 sounds better without any effects to me. Are you sure it needs all of them? Wouldnt it be better to submix all of the vox tracks instead of adding so many effects to each vox track individually?

@@iamjustrobert Our local pastor here on the reservation in historical Grand Portage(1854 treaty area), MN is part of a new and upcoming group called Presence Music Band. Not exactly rap, but had collaborated with artists like KJ-52(down to the river to pray) (new soul) and Seventh Time Down singer on the latest new track( Lower Me Down).. They're a young couple, youth pastors in past, based out of Duluth, MN but travel & plan events all over Minnesota! Just thought I'd mention them and how they helped me be closer to Him and want to learn more to know, learn and understand Him better. I'd love to spread His joy to everyone! Sometimes I think, like why don't they get it?

Most likely because I recorded these vocals way too low, so I decided to click “normalize” which brings up the vocals to a healthier level. This video is fairly old so, there’s been MANY updates and new ways that I engineer!

When you record, do you always do a dub? Or do you jus mix one take? And if you dub everything do you mix the verse, and the dub the exact same way?! And when dubbing a verse or anything. Do you leave the levels the same?

Hello! I don’t always overdub. Sometimes, I duplicate the audio track and manipulate it to sound different. Typically, I EQ the same or near the same for all the audio files in that song. The levels (meaning volume of the audio file) shouldn’t ever be the same. Always have your main level set ahead of the other files that are there for depth and substance.

We’re all trying to make it along in life. Scripture let’s us know that life isn’t easy. As followers of Jesus, we ALL face the SAME battles and our Savior did too, but He conquered them ALL! This song has truly blessed me and I’m thankful God granted me the abilities to create it and find healing in it!

@@iamjustrobert Does little to answer my specific question. Anyway, Christ's yoke is easy and burden light. That may seem like a strange statement coming from the same guy who tells us to carry our cross and suffer much for an all-consuming mission, but He makes it about as easy as it would be to continue serving our flesh. Be deeply rooted in Christ, then you will be distant from the things that rob you of the ease in overcoming. God provides the power to work thru us. Isn't that what you are always saying in your responses to our comments? A little deviation can soon ruin a man, as Christ warns. I'd be glad to see you overcome whatever it is.

@@iamjustrobert That seems like a mature response. I'd gladly see you be a conqueror rather than another guy wasted in defeatism and excuses. A lot of people get fame with that lame kind of message, because it is in popular demand, but i hope you rather concern yourself in making a positive difference with the fewer people who are open minded for something better. I think you have immense potential in working by God. I think you know that Matt 5:8 says "Blessed are the pure in heart, because they will see God." We best not diminish the force of those words and get thrown into outer darkness where the beautiful view and glorious life will not be had. You probably also know how He says that the nature of one's heart is shown by one's speech and actions. This is not to deny that our corrupted flesh continues to fight the godly spirit during this little life here.
