When you record, do you always do a dub? Or do you jus mix one take? And if you dub everything do you mix the verse, and the dub the exact same way?! And when dubbing a verse or anything. Do you leave the levels the same?

Hello! I don’t always overdub. Sometimes, I duplicate the audio track and manipulate it to sound different. Typically, I EQ the same or near the same for all the audio files in that song. The levels (meaning volume of the audio file) shouldn’t ever be the same. Always have your main level set ahead of the other files that are there for depth and substance.
