You description of being drawn in to an illusion and believing it, was very well described. It has just happened in your country and it will take a long time to recover, if at all. Here in Australia, we can't believe how many people got sucked in by the rantings of a Clown and it is going to effect us here, along with the rest of the world.

42k is crazy but also not surprising in America, I hope you good luck paying it off. I personally can't wait to leave the united states.

Heah I must say that your fine shaping on all of the neck lines is really bringing this one piece solid together as a very fine musical instrument

42k is fucking ridiculous. As for the colour, I don't know because I'm used to looking at it like this. Maybe a sunburst, seeing as it's mahogany.

it's always nice to keep an eye on both sides and keep your level your ownself to not get sucked up into the debt and death mentality war and chaos ....the natural look is always clean always stays a certain vibration of creating more from noting seeing the grains as a story as a song writer would pull the words from thin air living the now !

I have a Gibson lucille guitar. Back in 1995 my luthier told me about Tom Holmes pickups. Well I wound up phoning him. He sold me a set of his humbucking pickups for $250.00 . Well these pickups sound ok but they aren't magic sounding or different than any other pickups. They are fine but nothing special. Now apparently these pickups on Reverb or Ebay go for huge sums of money. I would trade these pickups today for some Seymour Duncan's. It's all a myth about a lot of these pickups today that sell for huge money and all of my Gibsons sound the same. They are all 30 years old and still sound the same as when I bought them. Just my own personal observation.

Hi Will, I am a Canadian in Niagara Falls. I have watched your channel for a few years now. Have always loved the videos. Just wanted to comment on what you were saying about all the marketing bs that says you have to buy all this certain gear to sound great. I am guilty of chasing tone and pedals and amps and guitars. I have a Vox AC30BM rebuilt by Michael Klein in Missouri and I have a 1965 Fender Bandmaster ND a Blues Deville and a Ceriatone JTM45 and a Ceriatone HRM Dumble clone and a Mesa Tremoverb amp modded by Voodoo Amps. So I have a not bad collection here, but the point I want to make is that yes you do need some half decent gear to sound good. I own several Gibsons and Fender guitars. But to be honest, it doesn't matter because even with all this equipment I still sound like myself. I will never be exceptionally talented like most people. It really boils down to how talented you are and how well you play. All the top gear won't magically make you like your favourite guitarist like Clapton a or any other famous guy. People just like me get caught up in spending thousands of dollars on gear and still sound only like myself. So yeah, chasing gear is not a be all end all.

NOBODY IN THE WORLD HOLDS THEIR GUITAR LIKE THIS!!! If you're going to view the guitar correctly, the fretboard would be more DIAGONAL than straight up and down, BUT, certainly more straight up and down than horizontally. Not only that, but 95% are RIGHT HAND DOMINANT! You're showing them a fretboard that would be only be viewed this way ONLY BY LEFTIES who are only 5% of all players!!

I think as a general rule, when guitar players say tone, what they actually mean is feel.

Also, good point about string Guage, it's something SUPER important but not thought about at all by half of players and not enough by 90 percent of players

What I found interesting on the difference between the Fender and Gibson on the A string is how the low frequency response of the Gibson seemed to have an envelope of a slower attack, which once that did more fully set in sounded just like the Fender. Anyway, great work as always, Will!

Handily you can now order custom string guages from Stringjoy, and they have a great string tension calculator on their website to help you figure out what you're looking for. No more mixing string packages to get what you're after.

I thought you always drew X's to mark your fret markers. Another thing you can do is just put the tip of the pencil in the end of the slot and push the ruler up against it. Saves moving the ruler around a bunch. You could probably do it blindfolded that way.

I remember way back you thought about buying a cnc machine, that was about the time you wanted to do the grab bag guitar thing. Are you still planning to buy a cnc machine some day or is that just not sensible?

I really enjoy your videos and your good information. This one piece of great wood is exceptional, I just wish it were an hourglass shape with the neck pocket ( of course it doesn’t have one ) coming in on the sides of the neck up to about the 18th fret . In other words kind of a droopy shouldered Tele before the cutout was decided upon .
