I have had the same struggles as you with my himi gouache! It’s definitely not as nice as the more professional formula paints, but it’s a nice set to just play around with. I use my set when I paint with my kids and they love it because they feel like they’re using mom’s fancy paints 😂

I’m so glad I found your KZbin channel! It is so hard to find a good white pen for details, I’m definitely adding this one to my list!

This vlog has so much creative inspiration! From misting your fiddle leaf fig to mixing colors... After watching, I have desk goals, organization goals, morning time with Jesus goals, and gouache goals. Thanks for sharing a little bit of your daily routine and the inspirations of how simple activities can bring joy. :) I know life is hectic, but the coziness and calm "feels" in this video is how I want to experience my creative time now that I'm trying to get back into my artistic hobbies. I'm looking forward to learning more from your videos and trying out gouache!

Hi Joleen, Thanks for making my day with this sweet comment! (I often think my long form videos are so random and not to the point enough for YT) I introspect and don't post as often on here... but this sweet message is really encouraging! The Jesus goals - I'm a work in progress every day! 😂 Some weeks I'm better than other weeks - anyways I hope as you get back into your artistic hobbies that you would be able to be in the peaceful moment and enjoy the therapy of the wholesome activity or creating! 🥰

Its really curious. There are tons of videos out there where artists use Himi Gouache and their art looks super smooth and super even. Not streaky at all. To a point where I sometimes wonder if they are really using Himi or some more premium brand, and just pretend they use Himi. Or are their skills so good that they manage to make even a cheap jelly gouache like Himi look like Holbein? I'm really confused.

its possible to produce those smooth lines! i'm a beginner and my paintings (which are obviously worse than professionals) aren't streaky like the creators. So maybe they just got a faulty set?

I love Holbein paints, the colors are so bright and a great selection. Very strong concentration of pigments

How about acrylic gouache vs regular acrylic . The main thing i want to know is why would i use one over the other, and the pros cons of each and of course the core discernment .

Now I understand why it was so hard for me to get used to gouache painting. Thank you so much for such an honest review! I guess like you said I’ll just enjoy messing around with it as a beginner and when it feels like I need better quality of it, then I’ll get it then. ❤❤

Your display was so engaging. It really draws you in and is interactive with your customers. I've been afraid to touch stuff and get a close-up look at things at some display booths.

Thanks for noticing Kelli! You always notice the details! I actually kept hovering over my display and re-visiting it to create a setup where customers wouldn't feel afraid to touch my items! I know my stuff looks kind of dainty and delicate so I tried to make it as approachable as possible 🥰

Ahhh!! Yay, I was hoping you were going to make a video of your setup! I had those grid shelves in college, I am kicking myself for giving them away! I like that you can clip the gold clips to them for the price signs. So happy your event was a fun one and everything turned out so pretty!

Christian, your market setups are a dream!! (like I've said) so thank you I'm flattered haha! I'm glad I only had a table 😂 I can't imagine having to pitch a tent for a booth? I saw your laser cut signage, it's soo professional! It really is fun selling physically because I got to meet tons of cool people! I think if you enjoy it, all the hardwork really pays off!

It's really cute but in my experience chalk paint is the Worst to clean if it gets even the slightest bit of dust on it even wiping it off immediately will sometimes still leave the whole piece looking dingy and old especially if it's a lighter color

What do you mean by "exporting and then re-importing into a new project"?
@DearElaine
@DearElaine Ай бұрын
Aw, i wish i explained it better- so when you save it to your phone it's "export", and when you add the video back into the capcut program, it is "import". I do this as the last edit because for example i can reduce noise on an entire video at once without manually editing all the sections individually

Very helpful video filled with great tips. I'm just starting my ig channel, and making videos of my art and especially editing them is overwhelming me. Could you please do a detailed, slow video of how you edit in Capcut and other apps? I'm from the dinosaur age, and learning softwares has never been my forte. 😅

Hi dear, this is a great topic- i will add this to my video list - i think it would be very helpful to show slower editing - I tend to edit my videos to be pretty fast! yikes! well i'm excited for your new ig channel though!!
