B mode makes sense when you drive in living area with slow speed and need to yield road to other vehicles, pedestrians, also speed limiters lying on the road. and where road is hursh and bumpy and you need to use brakes to slow down

Does it work in Portugal on the Mobi.E network?
@lixx927713 күн бұрын
This is great. I started with B mode because it felt more like engine braking on ICE, then I discovered D mode and how intelligent it is as explained in your video. Now, might be a bit controversial, I have switched back to mainly driving with B mode. Not because I started hating D but instead I’m using ACC with lane assist pretty much everywhere. Speeding up and down is already taken care of and as some mentioned speed limit signs reading issues, I drive the same route daily I already know where it fails. So the only time I actually do any driving is when the car is going slow in city traffic and B works just fine as you have also suggested, stop start city traffic. Other than that, I agree fully with your video. VW did an awful job telling the world how good their D mode is and the system as a whole work so effortlessly, it’s actually more work driving in B mode and less comfortable.

I watched the video very carefully, you seem to be happy with the Portuguese system (Miio)🤑, on the one hand it is important to know the location of the chargers and a single account even works... but on the other hand you are dependent on Miio, But according to what I know, if you have cards from several operators you can save, the problem is that it only works in Portugal... everyone in Portugal complains about miio for charging high prices, and not allowing the market to be free... I don't agree With the charging system in Europe, it doesn't make sense for you to have 20 electric charging cards or accounts... it should just be bank cards. I now understand why there are no more electric vehicles, people are afraid, they don't want to waste time and they end up in the middle of the trip...😂
@marcusevjourney5662 ай бұрын
Thank you Carlos. This is an old video I filmed in Spain, when their charging network was poor. I have done a new video about charging in Spain recently, and their network is better than Portugal now. I did a video recently about France and they have many operators and literally one card will work on most of their chargers. France is great as the prices generally seem to be lower than Portugal. I think the Mobi.E network was initially a good idea, but now it has some monopoly status and our network is not expanding as quickly as it should because of it. The best solution would be bank card readers on every EV charger.
