(danny is suspected to be from Illinois and its a popular headcannon although it is not confirmed) there is no possible way, even with flight powers (reminder he doesnt have any kind of super speed beyond flight) there is no possible way he is flying to the jersey shore or taking the bus to the jersey shore from illinios in under 4 hours. or going to jersey around lunch, having a short adventure, then getting home by dinner without using teleportation or an actual jet plane. some do use an explanation of super speed or teleportation or whatever, but like. its a road trip. it take about 15 hours to drive or 4 hours by plane. he might be fast but hes shown that he gets tired and drained when using his powers for extensive periods of time. there is no way he can go fast enough and consistent enough to get that distance in 4 hours or under.

Ok one time I was trying to figure out Thor and Loki’s “human” ages but the MCU timeline is so screwed up because so many things contradict any logical explanation because if you do the math during the first Avengers movie Loki would have been 1047 and Thor would have been 1494, which in human years would make them 15 and 22 😦 which doesn’t make any sense because in the flashbacks in Thor they look to be close to the same age (def not “7” years apart) and at one point Thor says that they played as children when they were 8 which completely contradicts everything because 1. How are they the same age when Thor is 1500 in Infinity War and Loki was born in 965 and 2. How would they have been able to think cognitively when they were like less than a year old in human years anyway, and it’s possible they age more exponentially instead of directly relating to how humans age but they still wouldn’t have looked to be that close in age 😭😭😭 Make it make sense

I think stutters are ok in CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES. I’m currently working on a fic (THE MOON (Pjo next gen) on Ao3) and in the third chapter a character stutters ALOT. But it’s because he was being terribly bullied and harrased, so of course when he finnally spoke up he’d be crying and having trouble forming coherent words. So, I feel like if a character is crying or just finished crying, it would be realistic to add stutters like “I-I’m” “d- on’t” etc.

Not fanfiction but a published novel, I struggled to finish it because there was just too much dull/unhelpful/pointless description. Like: every time the POV character left her house, it was stated that she tied her shoes and took her purse, but neither the shoes nor the purse was never important to the story and there was never a moment where the character leaves without her purse, showing us she's in a panic or something. Also the author would often skip writing out conversations in favour of spending way too long describing that the conversation happened. The example that made me yell "do you even have a point??" at the book was an almost-page-long description of a conversation that could have been summed up with "we agreed to meet at [location] for breakfast on Saturday". And then we never even saw the breakfast! It was a waste of a page.

Speaking of hearing impaired characters, Firefly from the Arkhamverse is absolutely hard of hearing. There's just no way the explosion that fucked him up didn't also fuck up his hearing. It would explain why he didn't acknowledge what Batman said about the Joker getting arrested. Another Arkhamverse headcanon I've got is that Black Mask is bisexual and closeted. I don't know why, but I looked at him and my gaydar was going off the rails. Also Firefly is queer too

Most of the people working in a modern public library aren't librarians, they may have their masters degree but generally their job titles are probably more like "library technician" or "programming coordinator". Librarian is also usually an administrative job. In academic libraries you often do have multiple subject librarians (literature, history, mathematics, etc.) plus a head librarian who runs the place as a whole, but the people who you actually see working in the library again will be techs or clerks or assistants, and the librarians may not even have their offices in the library.

I took writing class in college and my professor (who keep in mind has over 20 years of experience) said this when I brought up the idea everything sounding like fanfiction such as No Way Home, The Mandalorian, Ghostbusters (2021) and many others. And here's what he had to say "I don't believe fanfiction has the same kind of definition it once held that people often associate it with because you can argue that everything is fanfiction. You can argue that George Lucas creating the original Star Wars trilogy fanfiction because of the history and passion he put in and being inspired by the Flash Gordon comics. Or Stan Lee creating Spiderman, The X Men and Fantastic 4 is fanfiction because he wanted people with powers to be relatable. I think this is something that needs to be talked about more
