Actually they are a no name brand (amazon type purchase), that was just the tubes, and the fellow who owned the jeep before me put on the checker plating, and painted them black. Thanks for commenting !

I think you're safe to say it's one of the hardest (maybe "involved" is a better description?) speaker swaps when it starts with the roof and windshield. I know it's a Jeep, but still. The speakers in my YJ look like they're 90% made of dog hair and spiders, but they work, so ima leave em for now..

Do you need to worry about lubricating the compressor?
@DervFuel
@DervFuel 2 ай бұрын
Yes actually. I should have drilled in a grease zirk to lubricate it, as many do. And probably still will, in a year or so, when I feel it needs lubrication. There is a couple videos here on youtube where they showed the grease zirk (nipple) install. Thanks for watching ! Maybe check out poweraddictsfixjeeps video on the same install.

If you kno's how to solder, the new connectors for new speakers and put them on, take old connector and solder that to those new connectors and ****poof**** original to new speaks adapter! ****click**** <3 all

I did this on my yj years ago. I installed an old Ford hi idle switch. This really helps. I set the hi idle at 1100 rpms. Before I did hi idle solenoid, used the fast idle cam on the carb. Can't do that with fuel injection. I also put an recirculating oil system in-line using a moisture trap with a 1/4 turn valve. Works good, but have to be sure not to overheat the compressor. Your install looks really good, enjoy.

Thank you. The worst part for me was actually the bolts holding the window frame to the roll bar. If I were to do it again, I would spray some anti seize spray on them and let it sit a while.

what type of AC compressor do you have in your jeep. did you put a oiler on it? is it a York compressor
@DervFuel
@DervFuel Жыл бұрын
Hello,,, it is a UAC CO 4702C A/C CompressorUAC off Amazon actually. I tore it down, drained the fluid, and put in the set screw that seperates the two chambers it has for normal ac function. Then, I greased all the parts with a gear grease. People have told me that they get around 3 to 4 years of heavy use just with grease. I am going to add a grease nipple so I can pump in a bit from time to time.

Hello Dave. Great video! I did the same in my YJ a while back but you nailed it. I also have a hard top but I think I'm missing something. Can you do a video on the hard top removal? thanks.
@DervFuel
@DervFuel Жыл бұрын
Alonso, thanks for commenting ! What do you think your missing on your hard top? or is it a step in the removal ? There is five bolts down the side of the hardtop attaching it to the top of the fender surface. And there is probably about 9 across the top of the window frame that are usually just small screws to take out. Other then that, you should just have a disconnect on the drivers side corner in the rear to detach the window wiper and defrost if it has it, for the rear window.

Good luck with your Jeep. I have modified 2-CJ5's and a CJ-7. All ended up with small block chevy motors, except the 7 that got a LT1. Not huge lifts 3" mostely running 35's. Easy to work on, the front clip comes off in a few minutes. Always though, more money was spent than expected.

Thanks for watching ! 33 is not a bad size, depending on your lift. The d30 can be built up pretty nice with crhomoly axles and center disconnect delete, but the d35 is not worth building up in my opinion, but that not to say it wont handle 33s, just don't go bigger on a d35.
