Wonderful collection, enviable to be honest. I am just starting to build my own collection, but when I look at this dazzling collection, I know I still have a long and, above all, beautiful way to go. I notice that I have become very greedy and want as many records as possible right away. Now that they have also become more popular, the prices rise accordingly. So I will have to be patient.

Black Sabbath Black Sabbath 1970 was recorded live with few overdubs. Only my opinion, because I only heard these once. Also I havent heard the new Deluxe Edition, but I cant imagine it being better than the Rhino Edition. The original cd sounds terrible, but what is unusual for a cd that that a remaster can sound so much better than the cd like how great the Rhino sounds. The original record sounds good, but not as good as the Rhino cd, but the rhino record sounds best of all. The best record I ever heard is from 2010, called, Nina Nastacia The Blackened Air. It's a blend of folk & rock with 2 acoustic guitars, a cello, a violin, & drums. The record is atmospheric. I bought the record & cd. The cd is on youtube. Type on youtube: The Blackened Air Would you like to spend $35 to $150 for a streamer that sounds as good as $1,000 streamer. Its the LG V30 smartphone new or used on Ebay. KZbin & Google has all the stories about it. I wonder what Melinda thinks of her streamer by now that was loaned to her

As far as the Jukebox, disasseble it before shipping and then re-assemble it in the Music Room. This should be a possibility.

Hey Melinda, you may have a new cleaning video already, but I just purchased the new HumminGuru ultrasonic cleaning machine a couple weeks back and it does an amazing job! Put new, used, any album in for 5 minutes of cleaning and 5 minutes for drying. You just have to pour the distilled water with the 2 to 3 drops added of the HumminGuru cleaning solution that you pay extra for each time you clean a record. The water drains each time so that the internal vacuum can do its job! Have washed 40 or so albums already, and I notice a huge difference in sound quality. Hope your move is nearly completed, love all your videos!❤❤

Thank you for this review. It was one of the reasons I took the leap and got one for myself to step up my Hana ML to my Leben phono stage. It sounds absolutely sublime. It feels like I have a brand new stereo. It also took care of a pesky ground loop hum that I’ve been trying to get rid of. Thank you so much. The Quadratic MC1 is legit! 🤙🏿🤙🏿🤙🏿

Take the jukebox to Florida with you. As for Fleetwood Mac I saw them twice once in 1977 and again in 1980. They were great in the classic Rumours/Tusk tour/line-up. Any Motown record is a keeper and I have the original Arista version of that first Whitney Houston album.

I take some heat for buying records , my misses will never understand it at all. I love early New Wave and Punk , Disco and Classical. I hate the Eagles with every fiber of my being but that's Me. I like and collect early 60's Rock and some 1970's but the last 70's and early 80's was a turning point in music their was so much going on. Classic rock of the 1970's I do collect but to be honest I don't see the point of playing it over and over too boring for me. Try some Buzzcocks or some Undertones sometime , great stuff. j-d

I'm not fed up with them at all. I am fed up with the unnecessary amount of them, though. And the price. Especially the secondary market prices. Miss out on a release, and you're stuck paying $60, $80, $100+. I definitely have changed my views on variant collecting these days. And while I'm still learning to let go of the concept, I'm moving towards a "just get as many albums as possible and dont worry about VC'ing" mindset. Its just impossible. I would have to win the lottery to VC all the bands I want to VC for.
@MelindaMurphy2 күн бұрын
I have a very hard time paying the prices on the secondary market. If I miss out on the color variants, I usually pick up the black vinyl version. I do think the colored vinyl releases are cool though. Thank you and enjoy your weekend. 🤗♥️

Just hire some professional movers to get it up the stairs. They'll know what to do. Don't let your husband break his back with it. If you want expert movers, you could hire piano movers to get it safely to the second floor. They might even pop out a window and use a crane to lift it up. Don't give up on the jukebox.

I had to give up my 1961 seeburg jukebox and it really hurt my heart. So I would say to you if you could find any way. Even if you have to hire a professional mover to go out there and look show them you and it's probably going to have to take two guys to do it. But if you get a reputable moving company Dale I mean it's going to cost you some money. But you know something like that. You just don't want to give up. Have them go out and have the measurements of the two box because those guys at least the professional one movers. They know what they're doing. It's just a suggestion but just watching. I had to stop the video and say that right here and then don't give up the jukebox. It'll hurt your heart until this day. I regret giving up mine

If you have a balcony with some french doors or a large enough window, you can have the jukebox lifted up to the second floor, maybe even remove a window and have it lifted right in to your music room.

Hi Melinda. Although Smokey was a key ingredient in The Tempts rise to stardom, the album you held up was produced by Norman Whitfield. A good album, yet not one by Smokey. For classic ones that he did produce check out...The Temptations Sing Smokey...The Temptin' Temptations...and Gettin' Ready. All are terrific albums with singles and great album-only tracks.

Having a jukebox in your living room is far better than not having it. Besides, you're proud of it, so why not display it? Also, there has to be some way to get it upstairs. Just keep it until you find a solution.

Hey Melinda, sorry to hear about you potentially losing your jukebox to the house move. I can relate to furniture or other items not able to be used where intended. I hope there's a way to salvage the jukebox situation. I note the suggestions of tipping it on its side to move it upstairs. However you might want to ensure those 45's are firmly secured and won't fall out of their slots. You might need to consider removing the singles from the jukebox to be safe? Whichever way it goes good luck. I really hope there's a positive result for you. Best wishes with the move. Cheers 😘❤️👍👍
@MelindaMurphy3 күн бұрын
That's a wonderful suggestion. I have already removed the 45's which lightens the load a little bit. This jukebox is an absolute beast. Lol. It is so heavy that taking it upstairs in an optimal situation is already difficult. This narrow pivot makes it even harder. I won't let it go without a fight but it most likely can't go upstairs. Thank you and I hope you are doing well. You seem extremely happy these days. ♥️🤗 Take care.

Music plays so many roles in our lives: Friend, lover, teacher, family, partner, mate, doctor, counselor, teammate, dream, teddy bear. All of that can’t be so easily forgotten and discarded. @MelindaMurphy3 күн бұрын
A lot of movers refuse to move items of a certain weight. The size of the jukebox vs the pivot in the stairs will make it impossible to get the jukebox upstairs. If I keep it, I will have to make it work somewhere downstairs. We'll see what happens. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗

Did I miss something? By the title of this post you say you lost a part of your record collection. I assumed a few boxes went missing or something. Were you referring to the fact you won't be able to keep your jukebox?
@MelindaMurphy4 күн бұрын
Yes and that also includes hundreds of my 45's that I have for the jukebox. We spent a lot of time refurbishing the jukebox and it's been featured on my channel a lot. Sadly, it's not going to be able to go upstairs at our new house which is disappointing. I have been enjoying playing my jukebox for several years and hate to not have it.

Cables make hardly any difference at all, as long as they're well made and interconnects are properly insulated for microphonic components (turntables, phonostages, valve amps) they're good enough.

Where I'm at, a jukebox would be perfect for a basement recreation room. But I'm guessing your new house won't have a basement. I do hope you can find some way to squeeze it into your room--I'd hate to give one up myself! Too bad there isn't a way to partially disassemble it. (I would try, as I do mechanical things, but wouldn't recommend it for the faint of heart!)
@MelindaMurphy3 күн бұрын
Exactly! Taking apart an old jukebox is a huge gamble. It's already temperamental but I would love to take it with me. ♥️ If we can figure out another place to put it, I will. Unfortunately, we don't have a basement. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗
