This is helpful, but what I would like to know is how to take the diagonal measurement accurately on site. On the long diagonal it's impossible to get the case of a tape measure into the tight corner and even the end of the tape won't go all the way into it. From the dimensions to work in the drawing properly they need to be accurate, including the diagonals. How can this this be achieved?
@059echo4 ай бұрын
We always carry a long length of a string and put it on the two corners of the diagonal. Mark the end point on the string and then use a normal tape to measure up that length.
@johnbowmer56984 ай бұрын
@@059echo Good idea. What sort of string do you use? It would presumably have to be made of something which won't stretch...
@059echo4 ай бұрын
@@johnbowmer5698 the kind of string masons use with the plumb to determine the line levels of a surface. And yes, something that doesn't stretch.

a very-interesting setup of all the palettes and tools...on the side!! As the CAD-god surely intended for our proper-display on our monitors!! Nice! Perhaps you'd create a video of THAT maneuver, and how one replicates your GUI, as above. btw....I do NOT use ACAD, as way-too-expensive. Instead, and a tip for you, is to switch to...ActCAD. And save a zillion$$$ (or whatever :-) Your welcome! From an old CAD-Designer (since '82, and dinosaurs roamed)))

Does it matter what size the paper is set to in page setup manager? I have it at ISO A3 and the scale bar pastes in way too big. How do you scale these to an A3 sheet? many thanks
