I guess you dont use the trailer in the rain? With the wheels under the cover the rain would get thrown up under the cover and make a real mess??
@FMChronicles19 сағат бұрын
I try not to ride in the rain. But lately, it's been a hard thing to do. Raining all the time. I don't use the cover onless I have a lot of gear. Thanks for commenting.

I really like your videos. One thing I have meant to bring up, is the tires on your expedition. While I use 3 different tire types, because of the terrain I live in, and the weather here in the GPNW, the best tire I found for the Expedition in your area, and mine in the Summer, is the Schwalbe "Big Apple" tire. Although my riding partner prefers the Schwalbe "Mondial" for the rear of his Expedition. My girlfriend prefers the "Marathon Racers", however she rides a Catrike Road, and is a girl, so she doesn't count. You should really look into the "Big Apples" as they will improve your riding comfort, while increasing performance. I need to upload a video of my Candy Purple Expedition and B.O.B. trailer, that I use in the Cascades and Tetons. You're making me look bad.
@FMChronicles28 күн бұрын
Hi kirk I use schwalbe marathon in the front and a holy roller in back to help with Traction. That's interesting, I'm gonna be looking into the big apple Tire all the way around. Yes, please post videos of the Tetons mountains. That would be a cool Background for your cat. Thanks for the info.

Looks like you need some extra space for your 2nd foot. How do these compare to a regular city small wheel scooter?

They are much safer because of the 26" wheel. No flipping over the handle bars if you hit a crack or rock. Plus, it looks better. You can go faster as well.. thanks for the comment

Nice job! I did something similar with my F-150 for the ROAM tour in 2011. Although I needed a trailer, for the Velomobiles. These days I use my Dodge Magnum to tow the two Expeditions and sleep in the back of the Magnum. The 394 cubic inch Hemi works a bit better then the small block V-8 in the Ford, towing in the mountains out West. With that rig, you can come over to Tater TOT, sometime, I think you would really like the Trail of the Coeur D' Alenes.

@@FMChronicles Yes, Sir! Definitely way more stable than what you can buy. I guess maybe the larger size makes it less appealing to the folding smaller type. While these aren't something you can easily throw in the back seat of a car, for me the stable comfy ride more than makes up for the size. To each their own though, no right or wrong answer. Enjoy your adventures, and happy trails!

Looks good. Do you prefer those bars over the original cruiser bars? Looks like they may sit a bit higher, maybe more comfortable when cruising? Not many of these electried that I've seen. Only a handful of videos. I built one of these, too. Constantly upgrading. I currently have my battery mounted on the rear rack, but you can really feel the frame flexing when riding. Really fun though!
@FMChronicles4 ай бұрын
Yes, the original bars were very uncomfortable for me. I had to find a way to raise the bars as well.. I'm 5'11", and the original bars sat too low.. plus, i seem to have better control with the new ones. My new design has front wheel drive and a much lighter frame. Thanks for the comment.
@_Christopher_Williams4 ай бұрын
@@FMChronicles Oh, cool. I thought about a front wheel drive initially, but decided on the rear drive because there are quite a few hills where I live, so I wanted to get all the torque available by using the smaller 20" wheel. Thanks for the feedback! Your scooter is nice 👍
