I got my brother a trike also! I got him a green speed Magnum before I even had a trike. I'm glad to see your brother looks like he's really enjoying himself! And you're so nice to go out and find him one, and refurbish it. Now that is brotherly love!

Congratulations! Enjoy the new trike. Catrike is an awesome company. Anytime you need anything as far as advice or product they are readily available for you on a personal level. I ride my 559 and 700 10,000 miles per year and love every minute of it. A little bit of safety advice…..get yourself clip in shoes to spare yourself the inevitable trip to the orthopedic surgeon when your feet slip off the pedals. Also slide to hook out a bit to maximize efficiency and improve comfort! Ride and enjoy.welcome to the club!.

@@Thetrikejunkie …I’m retired with tons of free time. I have been riding heavily for 6-7 years. I only ride paved.finished trails and live on Cape Cod with hundreds of miles of safe, dedicated multi-use. You get stronger the more you do it. It’s pretty easy to go out early every morning or later in the day and do 25-50 miles plus daily . The mileage adds up fast. I spend the winter in Florida so I just keep going! Keep it going and enjoy your trike!

Outstanding! Really nice you;ll be able to ride together now. Its the frame that is North of 7 lbs. With everything on it, the Expedition weighs in around 33 lbs. As easy as they roll, you wouldn't know it though. Be safe.

Does anyone know a solution, for a bicycle with three wheels, one on the back, where the steering should be? The solution for rear wheel steering.

I'm sorry to hear that. More people should experience the fun you can have on one of these machines. Thanks for commenting.

I thought you might like to see something about your bros trike, and how it is built. This is the second video about Catrikes, and is about 12 years old. You however get to see an Expedition nekked. kzbin.info/www/bejne/faGmkoebiLN0qas The manufacturing process has changed very little, even though they are in a new facility in Florida now. Well it was a new facility 10-12 years ago. Time flies. Be safe.

@@Thetrikejunkie I finally found the ICE video for your front end. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKjViWWBi9qsbdk I don't think I mentioned it but, one of those telescoping curtain rods and a sharpie, makes an excellent tool for setting the front end. While the ICE likes a "toe in" of about .040", the Catrike is happier being dead straight. It is a function of the different geometries of the trikes. The Ackerman compensation of the trikes, is a picky thing. Catrike only got it wrong once, and ICE has always used the indirect steering variability to compensate, for their little bit of variance, from their frame vendor. Do not try to out corner the Expedition, with the ICE. If'n he ever puts the 18 in. wheels that belong on the front of that trike, it will amaze you, just how nimble that design is. Don't mention it to Paulo, he'll threaten sue me again.

Climbing hills on a Recumbent Trike sucks without Electric Assist.

It sucks on a bike, a trike and on foot. What can you do? Besides getting a motor. Thanks for commenting.
