Though Roger was such an aloof character, what a sweet person Louis was. He used that quality late in the series when he awkwardly tried to make amends with son David and was basically rebuffed as David had other things on his mind. That stuck with me as one of the most heartbreaking of the series. So sorry he had to suffer later in life. Glad that he made such a mark in his career to still be in the spotlight half a century after his signature role.

Ok Guy My wife to be and I went to the 1991 25th anniversary convention at the Vista Hotel in NYC and part of the weekend was a trip to Seaview what a thrill

@@Bellero Yes Guy we were married that same year in DEC 1991 and we moved to AZ in Dec 1992-Jan 1993 been there ever since. We also attended the 50TH anniversary Halloween event in LA 2016 We had many years we did not atend anything but in 2013 or 2014 we went to the weekend part of which was Dr Mabuse in Coronado and by chance the Hotel for the Luncheon was the same as where we honeymooned 20 + years prior !!

I’ll never forget … I was talking with Louis and Bob Cobert. Louis gave him a hug and pinched his ass and said, “nothing personal” we all cracked up!!!🤣 Memory Eternal! You are both missed!

I started watching Dark Shadows when Jonathan Frid came on. My childhood best friend and I would watch it at either her house or mine and we never missed an episode. Joan Bennett was one class act and such a great actress.

I'm sitting here with tears running down my face, all these great people were a huge part of my life as a kid and now so many are gone. Cast and crew came together and created something that can never be replicated, such bittersweet memories but thanks to KZbin i can go back and recapture what is now long gone. Thank you cast and crew, you are not forgotten.......

You know I am a huge Dark Shadows fan and I have Barnabas Collins is actual silver wolf's head cane I have it from the show and that's the same house where I proposed to my beautiful wife Chelsea right there in the drawing room

Back in the day, I attended DS Fests (from '88-92-spent a lot of time in the dealers’ rooms; bought a ton of stuff), got ShadowGram & other DS fanzines, helped Parker Riggs with the Lone Star Shadows fanzine (I didn’t realize it was Cheryl portraying Julia here until I read it in the credits!), held quarterly DS-watching parties at my house from '88-99, etc., and, yes, bought a number of your excellent t-shirts! A friend of mine (Michael L.) from Houston called me last week to tell me enthusiastically that he’d just purchased some DS bumperstickers from you, and that you were kind enough to include some calendars from previous years. That sent me on last night’s quest to discover what you’re offering on *your website* …which I still haven’t found, 'cause I got hopelessly sucked into watching DS videos on KZbin all night instead, lol; but that search led me to your KZbin channel.

@@Bellero Were you able to see my reply? I can only see it when I sort by _Newest first_ instead of the default, _Top comments._ (And I think they took the ability to change it to _Newest first_ AWAY a while back in the KZbin phone app. I only use KZbin in a browser on a computer these days.) It’s an oft-mentioned problem that gets a lot of discussion on Reddit and Quora. KZbin comment sections have been behaving oddly lately with comments “disappearing,” the past couple of years especially. Google needs to get its act together!

I have many books that delve extensively into historical vampire lore-at least two of the books written by Jan Louis Perkowski, for example-but ALL of them fail to mention that a swift kick to the “Collins Family jewels” is often more effective than garlic or crosses!

I just happened across this perusing my childhood favorite show!! I still watch it today!! I have to say "Julia' was spot on by both "actors" !! no one cried and sobbed like Julia Hoffman!! I REALLY enjoyed this!!
