Really nice video, I like it when there is no voice commentary. Rather listen to the ASMR of the train sounds. And they should REALLY clean thos windows! Thanks :D

How to find the carriage number? How many will be there and what is the order of it so that we can wait at proper place on the platform. Can we get into any carriage number and change later? If we can’t get in the right one?

You can find the actual train formation at Vagonweb.cz. Search for the train number and there you go. Train formation is not displayed on the boards in German stations, so if you happen not to wait near your car, I guess it is no problem to board another car and walk to the right one. Carriage numbers can be found on the doors.

I have slept in worse 1st class sleepers and do not think it was very expensive for a compartment with en suit WC and shower, breakfast and the length of the journey 👍

I don't know what SJ was thinking when they decided to use a Bimz seating car (interior not shown in this video) for this train. That has to be the most uncomfortable type of carriage you could pick for a night train...

Those sleepers are the weakest link in the train. Since they lack magnetic track brakes they are only allowed to run at 160 km/h. They also lack a wheel slip protection system so they have to lower the braking force on those cars making the service speed of the train even slower in Sweden, hence the addition of those extra seating cars in Malmö for additional braking force allowing the train to run at 160 km/h.

A quick note that the seated carriage you can see at 20:30 is a Swedish carriage that is only added to the train with the bistro car between Malmö and Stockholm. The seated carriage that goes the whole distance is a bit less comfortable.

Thank you. I'm checking this out for possible travel in 2025. interrail.eu gives this train & says seat reservations required, but it doesn't mention cabins. Do you know why? I'll have to do more research, I don't want a seat for the night

There is some nice scenery when leaving Zürich, but it gets much better once you cross the border into Liechtenstein and Austria.

If you want to make sure you will catch your connecting train, I strongly advise to catch an earlier train. That’s what I always do, especially with international connections.

@@coloradocolorado1527 there was no one in front of me during this particular flight. The screens are moveable so if a passenger in front of you reclines you can still move the screen for some good quality viewing

Good video, but would have been nice for you to comment/Show the seat reclining as you are in seat 67 the last set of seats in the row, and how it compared to the other WT seat reclining. Also as you where next to the toilet, how about a comment on 'Toilet' noise? any sounds of flushing, etc etc. Too much time spent on the Entertainment system, i mean, yes show it, but don't scroll through the entire TV shows etc. As people like me will watch you video sometime after you posted it (A year in my case) the content will have completely changed... What about comment on foot rest? Useful, Not used? great? did not work? etc etc? people watch these type of video's not only to watch the flight but to glean info about the Seating/Aircraft/Company, so make it like that.

Maybe the LHR flight is a little bit longer, but the distance between LHR and AMS is so tiny, I don’t think there’s much difference.

Thank you for posting this report. And thank you for no voice over and over explanation. Which seat number did you have? It is far enough back to clear the massive wings. Previously, I flew on an Emirates, A380 Business Class, and even sitting forward of the wing, I still couldn't have a nice view.
