One thing I like the most about Steinberg products viz. Cubase, Dorico etc. They are very organized; they get things done fast. Everything is in its place and easier to find and use.

Excellent introduction, very useful to popular musicians who are learning to use the Dorico platform. We would love it if there were more Dorico videos about scoring chords, scoring tablature and drum notation. Thanks 🎸🎵 🥁

Dorico has the worst system EVER for adding title, composer information. I've done what you've said, added project info, which never appears on the score page, and if it does, half the letters of the title are hidden.

Privet Friends. For those who do not know, on MAC's color picker (@33:27 in this video) there is an "Opacity" slider to change opacity of items. The Windows color picker does not have this slider, but select the item, choose windows color picker and set "Alpha Channel" to 0 (zero). Unselect the item and opacity is invisible without deleting any other objects it was on top of.

This is proving to be a bit finicky. Some stick, others don't. It's gotten to the point for me where I either print it out and write them myself or use the text input.

All the tools are there and available in Engrave mode. I don't think many people used the worksheets that we pre-made in Sib as they were too generic trying to cover all education systems?

great tutorial. is there a way to view all the score (for example a whole orchestra) in a separate window, maybe on a separate 2nd screen, while working/inputting notes on a close-up view? thank you for your time. regards

Can you make table of contents. I have flows as individual songs. I think flows might be as templates. I can have all the individual songs look just fine but full score seems to be reset settings
@frankheckel338228 күн бұрын
Yes, you can: Create a new master page with as many music frames as you have songs in your project (and little text frames for showing the page numbers …). Then select in the left upper corner of each frame WHICH song should be displayed. It might be useful to create a special file which contains only the first few bars of each song so there will not be any »hangovers« of bars you don’t want to display and you are saving yourself the hassle of manually spacing the »ends« …

In contrast with the previous comment... I think Dorico is a breath of fresh air compared to Sibelius and Musescore. The mere fact that it is closer to a DAW with a midi editor is amazing. I wanted to cry trying to edit notes in Musescore in both its notation editor and midi editor.

Steinberg has two MVPs: Antony and John. Both incredible Dorico representatives who always make truly valuable videos. I really like that piece if music Anthony composed for this series. Has a very retro sound but with some lovely chord choices. ❤

Great series, even if one is a Pro user. It's worth mentioning that when you go to select chords using ctrl-shift-A, you need to be in page view (not galley view) if you want to select chords from a measure or system. Otherwise you will select all chords in the entire piece. Just before you showed selecting chords you were in galley view. It took me a moment to realize you had switched to page view.
