Look on the wall in the back and see the hammers that are there. You should’ve gotten one of those and put it by your right hand because you might need it lol.

Hey George, that was a great session with Bob@Titebond. I have marked the video for future reference as well. Here is Bob's recipe for getting dried glue off the parallel clamps - Wrap paper towels soaked in mixture of Acetone + Water + Vinegar (1:1:1 ratio) around the clamp bars. Cover that with plastic wrap to keep it moist. Leave it overnight. This will soften the glue which can then be scraped off. In case of TB III he mentioned, this will soften the top layer and you may need to repeat this after removing the top layer and as bottom layers are exposed. Looking forward to more such live events - will find out how to sign up for notifications. TC.

My word of advice is if you are using them for the first time, don't use them on your project until you've verified fitment on scrap wood of the same dimension as the actual project. I used these to make a ring box and after making a very small error in measurement (about 1mm where my drill bit walked), it kind of messed it up as the lid was misaligned when open. I trashed that box and started over but when I got the to point where I was drilling holes for the barrel hinges, I used a brad point bit and a drill press to make the location more exact and it worked. But this time, I tested it on a scrap piece of the same dimensions and I'm glad I did as I had to adjust the method and hole location to make the lid open straight and open without contacting the base of the box. There is NO adjustments on these hinges so the holes have to be exact. But when they work, it makes for an awesome concealed look.

I didn't know these things existed. Very helpful! I don't have a garage where I can work on things. I have a shared courtyard, and we try not to let out personal projects become multi-day eyesores. Doing two sides in a single drying time will be very helpful. My current project has a side that can definitely skate by with a few irregularities.

According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), table saw blades should be adjusted so that they only extend above the table's level as much as is necessary to make a cut in the wood. The bottom of the gullets, which are the valleys between the teeth, should be even with the top of the material being cut. This means that the blade should not extend more than about 3 millimeters (1/8 inch) above the material.

I can do this in 5 seconds with NO measuring. 1. Move fence over to the right. 2. Place taper jig against fence. 3. Butt work piece against taper jig. 4. Place straight edge on pencil line on work piece and adjust jig so straight edge is also in line with tracks on table saw. 5. Move fence back to left to desired position It takes WAY longer the read what I just said than it does to do it. 5- 10 seconds max. Zero measuring.

If I'm not mistaken, wouldn't there be a potential strength advantage to the plain sawn board for some kind of load bearing use like a beam or joist? Perhaps not so much with oak, but your sample pain sawn board has the end grain running almost fully through it's entire width which should make for a strong horizontal member. I'm not much of a woodworker but I do understand the stability advantage of quarter sawing is probably of utmost concern with furniture and such, but I just thought it worth mentioning one possible con to quarter sawn wood. If I'm wrong, I welcome the correction.

I’m confused,, you said go left to right but you went right to left on the back side. ?? Sorry, watched it again, you said counterclockwise, but isn’t going right to left on the back the same as going right to left on the front? Totally newbie here. Love your videos. They are helping me tremendously.
