"THEY" are advertising a technique to enhance sexual prowess on your channel. It is a long and obnoxious advertisement and there is no way to skip it. I had to skip your video because I was embarrassed to have that on my computer.

The correct answer is no and always will be. With that said, I fall into the category of have been doing this for 20 years with no problem. I knew then the risk the same as I do now. I take only the tiniest fractions of material and never stand in front of the end of the end. I've had a few minor tear outs that were easily resolved with another few tiny passes. Drum sander is the way to go but I don't own one. I do sometimes build up a good qty of boards and will take them to a friend's woodshop that has every high end machine money can buy.

Ok, cute video but teaches us nothing. My favourite knife has a wooden handle but it is slowly coming apart. In fact one whole piece recently came off. I reglued it but I would like to put a new coating on it so it can get wet when I wash it(by hand). The glue said out door/indoor but it turns white when it gets wet so obviously not moisture proof.

I just got a router table and I'm excited to try this out. I also happened to get a spiral upcut bit. Would that be better to use than a straight bit?

Rubber Cement will glue the last part to a stick too. Like you used to make tire repairs with when you were a kid... On the tough spots, use an old tennis shoe sole.. If that doesn't work, when you change belts, roll (Cloth belts), roll it up, and drop it in a mason jar, and cover it with CMT or some sort of Orange Oil or /Tar cleaner. Let it sit overnight, or for 2 days if you sanded some really resonous wood and pull it out and lay it on the ground and hit it with a hose pipe.. Anything left, hit it with a brass or wire brush.. Roll it up, put a rubber band around it and sit it on some screen for a day or two to dry.. Then, put it back on and let it go again...

Question...regarding the part of the video when you are trying to get the outfeed fence lined up on plane with the cutting surface of the bit...if I had a 1/2" diameter rod and dropped it in the collet temporarily, would it then be easier to slide the outfeed fence back towards the rod until your straight edge touched the rod? No guessing if the cutting surface is top dead center? Thank you. I have the kreg table with the same plastic shim rods

better yet, choose a bit with a top bearing and set the fence to the face of the bearing and then adjust the height of the bit to the work piece

Great video, very creative stuff. That said, I have a problem using expensive epoxies. I don't think plastic has much of a place in wood furniture (river tables, etc.) So much money just to add plastic.

what if the miter gauge isnt perpendicular to the miter slot and/or the blade? this is what gives me such a difficult time, is that there doesnt seem to be ANY baseline to start from, and all these different things could effect the results you get doing something else...

Good stuff! If memory serves, back in the dark ages of my apprenticeship, the longer part of the square was called the blade, the shorter one the tongue. I could be mistaken, perhaps it was just what the old timers called it.

Great video, but I really can't understand the value of variable speed. I've used various belt sanders a lot, 1000s of hours, but even with variable speed available, I always use it on full speed. I want the belt moving fast, the last thing I want is for it to go slow. Pressure, dwell time, number of passes and grit should determine how fast to hog away material not speed. To me it's a gimmick.

They look nothing like each other. Why not use a cloth or rag to wipe off the excess paint rather than a paint brush. The pieces side by side don't match.

Why not put the board up to the fence, place your angle on the board and one leg flat against the fence then move the other leg out to the line and lock it. Then rotate the angle 180* and no measuring required

What would the best finish for iron acetate (i.e., oil-based/water-based poly? tung oil/linseed oil?)? Is there anything to avoid that may affect the iron acetate stain, or will it be unaffected since its already dried onto and into the wood?
