I have a Moza R21 wheel that I've really enjoyed using, but I recently came across the DIY FFBeast Direct Drive. The total cost for all the parts was around $100 to $145, and I have to say, my DIY wheel actually outperforms my Moza R21! Okay my DYI FFBeast wheel is only about 15Nm of torque but thats plenty, i never had my moza on max anyway! So if you own a soldering iron, some basic tools and have a littel bit of DYI skills and access to a 3D printer, Nothing beats FFBeast,

Shit looks goofy but I bet it helps a lot. I used to have a roommate that would lose their mind if they heard me stomping my pedals, slam shifting and yeeting the wheel. So for months I had to try and drift while making the least noise possible. After a few months, I felt so much smoother doing everything. Its like training with the weights on.

Literally any car can be “smooth” if you know how to edit car physics. Gravy cars are horrible. “Smooth” doesn’t mean good. Name a car, any car…. And I’ll make it a “smooth” drift car for you.

I agree with you but at least they aren't as bad as the tando buddies car packs... Those things just float forever, but if your really struggling to drift on AC it's an okay place to start imo. But I definitely recommend people try and get into the WDT street cars once they start to get the hang of it, especially if they wanna ever have a chance at driving pro cars.

@@Marcyo137they have different weigh and CG but yeah Gravy Garage, ADC 420 and a few other cars are just Tando buddies base data with adjustments to suit. Also Gravy have different tires so that will also make them feel slightly different.

You can just bind a hotkey to reset ur view, it's in content manager. There's a ton of settings in there are a must when doing VR, hours and hours of testing and fidgeting to be sure, but potentially amazing results.

My hands were actually getting rubbed pretty raw when I was putting a lot of time into drifting. I just powered through and eventually got used to it, but gloves help a lot.

Jip, currently going down the rabbit hole.. Started off thinking fanatec, because it's the only dd for Playstation.. Would have gotten the 5nm and get a third party boost kit with the m3 gt2 wheel and the v2 pedals. But for not much more.money I have now decided to Simagic Alpha 15nm with the P1000 inverted pedals, gts wheel. Aluminum rig, with triple screen mount. 3 x 32" 1440p monitors.. oh and I also now need to get a pc to run It all.. 😂
