They really could have just easily released Pokemon generation 1 and 2 on The Game Boy catalog of Nintendo switch online and generation 3 on the GBA catalog. I mean they should have done that. I'm glad that I'm old enough to actually remember playing when it was brand new back in the late 90s. It was a fun time although yes definitely a flawed game still so much fun. So glad I don't feel like I even have to buy old cartridges that are way overpriced on ebay. I've actually played every generation not necessarily completed the games in every generation but played every generation except for generation 9. Anyways I get the feeling they just won't bother to release the games as they should be. It's weird because didn't the Wii U have Pokemon red blue and yellow available? So all of generation one was available on the Wii U but not on the switch? It just doesn't make sense

I've never heard of that in any other racing games so that's really cool. I might decide to get that game on switch but it's kind of hard to be motivated to play it if I know nobody's going to play it online. I mean are you actually playing on a worldwide server and it's still nobody or is it like a regional thing or something? I worry that if I just try to play online I'll go against the only people who play the game online and get my ass kicked because I never played the game before but they've played it a ton because they're the only ones who play it

11:59 Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed I think it's the greatest racing game of all time. And I don't base my opinion on the tracks although I do like the tracks, but it's because well I like the controls that's one reason, but I also like that it is more skill-based than Mario kart. The items you use are more skill-based. The green shells and Mario Kart are super slow. You need the red shells because if you use the green shells it's not easy to hit anybody unless you really close to them. The bananas are small and really easy to dodge. The blue shell is too damn frustrating. In Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed the items that you shoot in a straight line go zipping down the track really quickly which means it's more skill-based. Make sure you're facing straight at the racers in front of you and you will hit them with your shot for sure. With the green shell you're probably not going to unless they're really close to you. It is possible to dodge the heat-seeking RC car in Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed with a boost. The blowfish takes up a lot more space than the banana so it's harder to dodge, not to mention instead of lobbing it forward in the air, you shoot it forward so it's easier to hit targets in front of you. But the best thing is that there is none of that cheap BS with an item that is guaranteed to hit the driver who is in first. They did fix that in Mario Kart 8 sort of with the horn, but Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed you send a swarm of hornets and they're big and hard to dodge but it's actually possible to dodge them which makes it more skill-based. And sometimes they'll hit the first three drivers instead of just the first one. But of course the best part is the fact that you can transform your vehicle which can cause some laps in the track to be different than the last which is really cool.

If I'm not mistaken just about every other kart racing game once you boost, you don't get like some reserve so even if you add another boost on it it overtakes the older boost and just puts the newer boost in and its place and stops at the newer boost without anything reserved so you basically don't fully maximize both boosts, but what you're explaining in team crash racing is that you actually have your old boost left over to be added to the end of your new boost and I think that's really really cool. Wait I explained that correctly right? If that's so that is really awesome

I heavily disagree with your wish of more non-Mario characters in the new Mario Kart. There are still a TON of Mario characters who have yet to be playable in the series; I’m talking characters from the 3D/2D platformers (Cappy from Odyssey and Prince Florian from Wonder would be great newcomers), the RPGs (I especially want Mario & Luigi characters like Fawful and Starlow to be in Mario Kart), Luigi’s Mansion (Professor E. Gadd was planned to be in Mario Kart DS before being cut, his MK debut is LONG overdue), more reps from DK like Cranky Kong and King K. Rool, hell, why not include characters from WarioWare/Wario Land too? The roster could be absolutely fantastic if Nintendo takes this direction. Look, I’m not completely against the presence of non-Mario characters and tracks, but they should be kept to a minimum. This is MARIO Kart, after all. I really don’t want it to become Nintendo Kart. We already have a huge Nintendo crossover series with Super Smash Bros., we don’t need another one like that, but for kart racing.

DKR, MK:DD and Burnout 3 would probably be my top 3 of all time. Not having a remake or sequel for DKR all these years later is a crime, but with it being produced by Rare it sort of fell into the blackhole when they were acquired by MS. Much sadness.

The back nine are used in Ruin, and are updated to have glitchy purple stuff going on. Trust me, I grinded the original golf minigame enough to practically memorize these. Here's my theory: Donkey Kong used a Mario Fire Flower for the first time ever in the Mario series in the Mario movie, where this design clearly originates from. That power changes his fur to be very visually different. We're not getting 50+ characters from Zelda and Kirby and Cluclu Land or whatever. My theory is, each character will have several costumes to choose from like Smash Bros.

I dont want more crossover characters beyond the ones we have (and MAYBE Captain Falcon) til they acknowledge Wario Ware or Mario RPG characters and have Foreman Spikey pull a Pauline. "But theyre too niche" that wouldnt be an issue. i mean look at smash. Would people care about say, Ness or Captain falxon with this attitude. We have to focus on how MK can bring obscure characters to the masses and make them attached to them, maybe even try their games.

One feature i personally hope/think we’re getting is costumes. Peach on a “bike” type vehicle but not in her tracksuit makes me think we may get it as an option. Same with DK, Movie and the version we used to have may be alternate outfits.

60-80 characters is... a bit high. If you wand a good estimate, every game since Double Dash has had a roster that's between 1.5x and 2.5x the number of players per race. For the 8-player games since then, we've had 20 (2.25x), 12 (1.5x), 25 (2.08x), 17 (2.125x), and 30 (2.5x) characters. Obviously, Mario Kart 8 lasted for 10 thousand years so it ended up with *four times* as many characters as there were karts per race by the time the BCP ended, but that's an outlier and shouldn't be counted, haha. If we follow the 1.5~2.5 range, we're looking at between 36 and 60 characters, more likely 48 to 60 since DS being handheld likely held its roster back a lot.

If Nintendo wants to get into the weeds, the solution isn't "Samus, Captain Falcon, Fox, Kirby, The triforce". The solution is: King K Rool, E Gadd, Mona, Poochy, Cranky Kong...
