After 5 years of natural, I realized my hair type cost too much money to products. The longer it grows the harder it is to maintain. Things in life happens to where you can't manage natural hair. I went back to relaxing and my hair is thick, but much easier to maintain and less money on products.

I am watching this while making my own decision. I felt every word about the process and decision making. Its so hqrd on black women we get riduculed no matter what then we have the haunting wirds of the natural community we been apart of for soo long whispering at us..

I’m texlaxing today and I am SO excited. Gonna texlax, protein treat and deep condition and hopefully keep my hair straight. I am so happy to be able to maintain my hair in an easier way and not be a slave to my hair 😭 I was holding back for fear of how the natural community would attack me but idc anymore. They’re not at home dealing with my hair with me. thank you for making this video! ❤️

I would suggest to people getting relaxers go to a professional stylist. Also some natural hair can give the illusion of thickness but once you get a relaxer iui t will show how thick your hair really is. Anyway go to a stylist so that you wont have flat lifeless hair. I have seen people on her crying because their hair fell out or it was flat. I have never enjoyed the natural hair community although I'm natural. I say do want you want to your hair whatever the consequences is on that person. On top of that a lot of naturals have damaged hair and they don't know it because they are scared of heat.

Why is it that everyone who what's to relax there hair have to first apologize?? It's your hair

You should never relax your hair while pregnant. Your hormones are not the same pregnant. I did it while pregnant, and it didn't take well. I wasn't a believer until I did it. Complete failure.

Put some black castor oil on edges to grow back and massage scalp. Hot oil treatment be good. Have you had a protein treatment lately to get it strong.

One thing I hate about the black community trends just because a black woman is natural and she has 4B hair or 4C hair every African American woman thinks that every African other woman has to be natural or they don't fit in the black American culture or community, and they want them to jump on the bandwagons and join this crowd or that crowd! the wash and go bandwagon, the twist out bandwagon, the big chop bandwagon, the coils bandwagon, the locs bandwagon, but if a black woman wants to relax her hair she's going against her own race, she's ashamed of her hair that God blessed her with, she's ridicued and she's put down because she put in a relaxing her hair, well what about the women that flat iron their hair once in awhile or get the Brazilian straight hair styling in their hair, because some of you women may not be getting your hair relaxed, but you are changing your hair pattern when you do that so your hair can look smooth and straight and sleek, so stop trying to make other women feel bad because they're relaxing their hair this goes for all of the negative people that's trying to make women feel bad because they want to do something different with their hair that makes them feel comfortable

I’m 15 now but I’m pretty sure I’ve had my hair relaxed from the ages 8-13. I cut all of my hair off after that. I’m now 2 years natural almost 3 and my hair has never been this long. “Do what you want with you hair” is completely fine bc it is your hair and it grows back. But this is for anyone who is planning to do it: after a while of having it you’ll notice that your hair will stay the same length for years. So make sure you keep it healthy

I know I’m made late to the common section, but I just have to say I appreciate you making this video. In the natural hair community all you ever hear is protect your hair, protect your hair, protect your hair, it feels like pretty much you’re protecting your hair forever but then what is the point of having hair if you’re never gonna wear it? You might as well shave your head bald… It doesn’t make any sense… Sure you could wear your hair and twist outs every once in a while but that’s a lot of work too, And not everybody wants to look like that! So thank you for making a video and show me people that there is other options and you don’t have to do what everybody else is doing!
