Man the latin was introduced in Romania in 1800+ .But in Transilvania and Moldavia never reach latin language there in the countryside .Since i was born in Romania part of Moldavia in the countryside its very hard for me to understand latin language ,but i understand better english .If you're living in the cities yes you can understand latin .In the country side in Transilvania and Moldavia the accent its quite different and many words are simply just old .In these area they still keep few thousands old words .But in the south of Romania its more latin ,no wonder romans they conquer only that area .Dacia was bigger than Romania today.Romans they even build a concrete bridge over Danube to conquer Dacia. After they conquer south Romania to Sarmisegetuza they start to use slaves to take gold from the south mountains .

Before Traian -also a tracian Rome was not that bad! actually many years Dacians where ruling Rome too and beforrre that Eetruscian. We don t know if the Giant Dakians statue of 2-3 M high where build in Rome or Stoled from Dakia , but they are missing from Rumanias land and we have only the archaic Sfinx wich where build in top of the Mountains and no one can stole or destroy !!!

Transparentcy...it was not all successful. Although I personally think it was an amazing military accomplishment. Several times some of the Greeks overestimated themselves and underestimated the enemy. In one instance a group of Greeks having been part of a successful raid decided to go back again. Even though they were warned by others, possibly Xenophon himself, not to return, rather continue the march. The group expressed the idea that they were superior because they were Greeks and went on the attack. They were defeated and all either captured or killed. As their comrades continued their march to the sea.

A great story - albeit a sad one, regarding one of history's best-known "good guys". We remember him for ending the Jews' captivity in Babylon, and sending them back to their homeland (as recounted in several books of the Old Testament). But as with so many other people in history, Cyrus didn't become king by always being a nice guy. He had to be tough as nails! And no doubt Tomyris was just as tough. In retrospect, it seems that Cyrus dodged a bullet by not marrying her! lol ....PS...Loved the commentary. It adds so much to the story. Thanks!!

Thanks for the comment! It is unique how near-universally Cyrus was admired in the ancient world-even when Greek authors become more anti-Persian following the Persian invasions, they still want to distinguish Cyrus from what his successors like Xerxes did, and hold him up as a good example.

true however, not entirely accurate, is still interesting that 200 years after, Rome had Dacian or Thracian origin emperors who took all sorts of actions to revenge Decebalus like wasting huge amounts of money on questionable projects like building grandiose marble latrines on inappropriate locations, symbolic places for Rome oh and not any marble, Trajan column one ;) to even change the name of roman empire into Dacian like Galerius for example witch almost did it around 302-305 only a lucky twist of events prevent this from actually happen :)
