So close when you mentioned it being like a van with the seats down. Can I fit my 1.95m fishing rod holdall, can I collect a front door from the DIY store, can I take my old single bed to the tip....? What's the rear seats down measurements of both please?

Thing with Chinese EV’s (unlike traditional cars) is that in Australia, we are paying less for a change compared to Europe. I guess that comes with having a FTA with China and no local car Manufacturers to protect with added Tariffs. The Seal in Australia has 3 models (a smaller battery pack model), then a longer range model RWD with the same battery as this review, thru to the “Performance”(same as this test), Our pricing in my state starts at just under $50000 Australian dollars, to just over $66k. The price conversion on what you quote here would be $77k for the top range Seal. As for VW ID7…. We’ve yet to get any ID models, let alone the 7… only ID 4 ID5, ID Buzz and Buzz cargo “coming soon”. But if the pricing will be anything like Cupra or Skoda (Enyaq almost here), likely overpriced and underdone (in terms of ev range/battery).

It looks a lot better, I wish the rear window would go up with the trunk though, like an Octavia. Or that you could get a manual, but I understanding it's hybrid only. Respects to Toyota

This review should mention the down side of how difficult and expensive it is to replace the timing chain on the diesel model which has to be done every 90,000 km- my friend just went through this-most garages won’t even take the job on “its that difficult “

Has it ever occurred to these reviewers there are actually people out there who need four wheel drive and the extra torque of the more powerful diesels. Those in rural areas, those who might want to tow trailers, caravans, horse boxes etc etc. I didn’t like the way they dismissed these variants as frivolous.

The VW, TDI is the reason they vilified all diesel vehicles and came up with fake pollution data. They couldn't allow such economical and long lasting engines/vehicles that would cut into their profits!!!!

I drove the 5008 when I was in Ireland this summer. It’s basically a 5 seater with 2 seats extra if you need it. I thought it was a solid car with a funky steering wheel.

EV insurance cost?
@stevencampbell1150
@stevencampbell1150 Ай бұрын
Great video explaining the different power trains available though a couple of problems I noticed were "efficiency" was spelt wrong in one of the slides and the one thing you missed is that EVs are higher in cost to insure plus new diesels are getting harder and harder to come by (though on the second hand market they're still plentiful) with many of the manufacturers ditching the fuel which is partly why I went full hybrid with the Toyota I bought plus I didn't want to be dealing with adblue which all the more modern diesels use and my previous diesel car didn't.

It's ok stating the price difference between these but not many are going to buy these outright are they? You look at the lease price for these (in UK) and there is no comparison between them. The ID7 can be leased for no down payment for both types of vehicle for £375 over 24 months the seal is way dearer (way over £500 nearer £600) so for me the id7 is a better car and leasing between the seal and id7 absolutely no brainer.
