I love my 2019 A5 sportback. I am in Canada and it has the great 252hp gas engine. Very fast. Same 0 to 60 time as my Mercedes E550...a twin turbo V8. I can fit furniture and my bike in the back easily because it is a wide opening hatchback. As practical as an SUV but sport sedan fun. Great on gas s well.

I have the previous model SZ5 Mild Hybrid with 1.0L 3 cyl Boosterjet Engine which has 109bhp. Got to say very underwhelmed by the new model, it just looks lie a facelift of my car. Slightly different at the front, and the tail lamps slightly different as well. Interior is almost identical apart from the larger infotainment screen. Overall the car is not that much different. The main disappointment is the engine only delivering a measly 81bhp, don't get me wrong I love my Swift, but to release a new model almost identical with a lesser powered engine that is so much slower is a backwards step by Suzuki. Suzuki were Emailing all their customers to test drive the new car, BTW having now had a test drive in the new model last year can confirm it is like a snail on valium compared to The 1.0 SZ5 Boosterjet Engine, I was actually shocked at how much slower it was. Again I absolutely love my current Swift as it has everything, but current owners will be massively put off by a ridiculous loss in performance of a so called new model, and many like myself will not purchase this 'clone' of the previous model with a woefully underpowered engine.

That is not a proper gt line. Proper gt has heated & cooled seats plus memory seats
@noelsullivan930217 күн бұрын
The gt line in Ireland is slightly better specked than UK. We get sunroof and heatpump .but in uk gt line s is uk top spec which gives cooled front seats ,360 camera ,memory seats ,Harmon kardon sound system, lock nuts,alarm and more.the niro ev k4 is better specked than Irelands ev3 gt line apart from sunroof. Uk always gets better specked.

Good to see some Irish EV Car reviews for a change. Hopefully the Irish public will soon wake up to them like most other countries have. Would be nice to have included the charging speed & Time taken to charge both models at home and at fast chargers. Keep up the good work 🙏🌍🌱

No reviews ever mention the insurance cost , only the 0 to 60 time many people have bought EVs with 3 to 4 second 0 to 60 times and found insurance up around £2000.00 if you by a Ferrari don’t be surprised.

Gt line spec isn't 47k .add delivery and paint its 49100 euros and if you take into account seai grant of 3.5k this car is actually 52600.nice car but overpriced. You can get an ev6 for less. Subscribed.

I have a 2024 Swift in gunmetal grey and it turns heads every day. Yes it does cruise quietly and effortlessly on the motorway and is so nimble around town. It's comfortable and all the tech is terrific. On top of all that I get 55-57 mpg all the time. It also has a distinctive look far away from the mobile boxes which are supposed to be modern! Suzuki rules!

I own the Swift and it has all the weakness of small car with small engine. But it is Suzuki and made in Japan. So that's good. Engine is underpowered with no turbo so should be reliable. Space is fine for a small car. It is well equipped so that's good. It does bing and bong at you so that's not good. The best bit is when you treat it harshly, the car comes to life and pretends to be a sports car. That is priceless.

Great review as always. I often wonder what do people do with all those seconds saved in getting from 0-60 in 7 seconds rather than say 13 seconds. Do they go on holidays with the time saved over a life time of driving? I suppose they add up over time. But if you're getting on a bit you could easily loss those seconds saved as you are trying to get out of the vehicle. Please feel free to use this useless observation in any future videos.

Probably go for a Dacia Sandero Stepway or Citroen C3, the Swift is too ugly, and the MG is boring.
@FearCraddssАй бұрын
Dacia and Citroen are not reliable cars- Suzuki is.

I've just bought the Swift and definitely,pics and videos don't do this car any justice.Face-to-face It looks like a different car,really impressive.Both the new blue and red colours with the black roof look amazingly beautiful.The interior looks dated when considering the new interiors nowadays but the feeling you have something different,something which does not look like the SUV-ish style all cars nowadays are adopting ,makes the Swift a bit special.It's an old school car and obviously it's not addressed to those Who are looking for the fastest,most technological,with the most modern look kind of car.

In the Netherlands, the ANWB (the Dutch counterpart of the RAC) did the same test, and both drivers preferred the Suzuki Swift, mainly because of the much better driving characteristics of the Swift. The Dutch magazine Autoweek, managed to cover a distance of 925 km on 1 tank (37 liters) with the Suzuki Swift.
@ukrytykrytyk847714 күн бұрын
I looked up the ANWB test and in most areas they gave win to MG3, so it is not so rosy picture of the Suzuki as you're trying to present...

The way to beat depreciation on new cars is not to buy a new car! Simples!!! After getting badly stung with depreciation on new cars over the years, I finally got sense and now I buy a 3-4 year old car with very low mileage (it's fun searching online for the cheapest 3 year old car with low mileage) for approx half the price the original buyer paid for it. I then run the car for 2 years and trade it in and lose very little compared to what I paid for it. I'm fortunate that I'm very car "literate" and I can maintain my own car without ever needing to go to a garage and thus I can ensure that the car I'm buying is in good nick before I buy it. Works for me but if you're someone who "needs" a new reg plate, go for it. I'll give you half what you paid for it in 3-4 years time! :). As for these two cars, its a nope on either. Too much money for small cars with dubious safety ratings. I'll stick with buying a much better car, with top of the range features for less money thanks!

Brilliant review as ever, I think I'd have the Suzuki or a second hand Toyota Yaris hybrid the reason being the MG though it is reasonable for the money it's quite a high group of insurance and a second hand Yaris could be had for less than both.

The Suzuki looks better, and its back to basics approach, coupled with gentle innovation makes it more compelling. No complicated engineering yet achieves similar fuel economy. MG is still a good buy, but I think the Suzuki gives more value. I guess this does give us one more lesson on electrification. Not all types of electrification make sense for all vehicle classes. Superminis will make do with Mild Hybrids, compact cars and SUVs do well as hybrids, and the more lumbersome heavy vehicles best suited to PHEVs.
